We enjoyed our stay at the Marmot Lodge. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the location was very convenient for exploring Jasper. The rooms were a little dated, but overall it was a comfortable and pleasant stay. Would happily return.

Staff was so kind at checkin. The room was clean and bed was great! Had dinner at Evil Dave’s and would highly recommend! Starbucks in the morning was great too!

We enjoyed our stay at Marmot Lodge, but there were a couple of areas for improvement… add a water filling station and replace old towels (some were like sandpaper). Visitors with mobility issues should be aware there is no elevator. It is a true motel with exterior doors to the rooms, but it was quiet.

Great first time stay

Helpful welcoming staff. Comfortable beds and super clean upgraded rooms/showers. Older hotel that has been well kept. I did not have time to use the pool, jacuzzi or sauna but nice extra feature.

Nice place to stay

I recently stayed at Marmot Lodge in downtown Jasper and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is excellent—within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and local attractions, which made exploring the area really convenient. The service stood out as a strong point. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. The room itself was a bit dated in terms of decor, but it was clean and surprisingly comfortable—definitely cozy enough after a long day of hiking and sightseeing. That said, there were a couple of downsides worth mentioning. The carpet had a few noticeable stains, which detracted slightly from the overall feel of the room. Also, the air conditioning unit was quite loud when running, which could be a bit disruptive, especially at night. Despite those minor issues, I’d still recommend Marmot Lodge for travelers looking for good value, comfort, and convenience in Jasper. It's not luxury, but it gets the job done—and the excellent service makes up for the quirks.

Smokers outside your room

Smoking is allowed right outside your rooms where the air conditioning intake is located. We had to turn off the air conditioner because other rooms around were sitting outside smoking. The hotel seems very dated.
