My wife and I stayed here 1 year ago, on our trip to Victoria. . We liked it and decided to stay again. Second time not so lucky .The place was definitely grungier this time. Too bad, great location. Just needs more attention.

The downside of this inn is that it doesn’t have proper space for breakfast. We just grab and go for breakfast. However, having kids during stay is not really convenient and there should be a space for breakfast.

It’s a Motel so wasn’t expecting high end by any means. Beds were clean, room was clean-ish. Overall place could use some work with paint and repairs but I would stay again. It’s conveniently located.

The first room we were assigned had a terrible odor as if something had died. We called down and were told another guest also had complained and it would be no problem to get a new room. We even said we're not picky and would take a downgrade without requesting a refund. Upon going down the reception, we were asked a bunch of questions about what was the smell and suggested to "air" the room out. We were told another story about how someone left tuna open one time for some reason. Our cards got deactivated during our stay one evening for no reason. Would be nice to get decent service when you haven't done anything wrong.

Friendly staff, great view

Our stay at the Vista Inn was short - just an overnight. But the staff were all very friendly. The room was clean and a nice size. The view from our room was spectacular.
