The majority of the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean with the exception of the elevators. We were led to believe there would be multiple options for dining. Actually slot machines with a stand up bar and little to no seating and little to no food options. Ice given at the front desk in thin plastic bags. No ice bucket. Disappointing!

Walking into the hotel lobby you are hit with the smell of cigarettes. There is no designated smoking area, the entire first floor is the designated area. The nonsmoking room was fine. Housekeeping didn’t come by everyday to empty trash or change/replenish towels/washcloths. However it is only 35-40 minutes from Las Vegas and close to Boulder City. 3/5 stars.

The beds were clean, the entire hotel smelled like cigarettes, the chair in our room was permanently coated in natural substances that had dried. Table and fixtures appear to have been original from when they built the damn. We checked in, hoped the room was better than the lobby. It wasn’t. Non refundable so we just drove back to Vegas and stayed in embassy suites. The general store was nice and the views out back and the trail are great.

We had stayed at Hoover Dam Lodge many years ago and enjoyed ourselves. It appears nothing has changed or been upgraded since then. The facility is very tired and in bad need of a facelift, especially in the room we were in. TV didn't work, it was changed out. Light on bed end table had no switch to turn on. No plug in on desk for computer. Windows were dirty, dirty. A/C was extremely loud and had to turn it off to sleep. Carpet in elevator disgraceful. No more restaurant, just quick bar food. No coffee perk in rooms, front desk gives you a bag of ice, no icemakers on floor. Overall, a pathetic excuse for a hotel. Casino was basically empty on a Friday night. I wonder why. Will not stay there ever again and have already recommeded to friends travelling south to avoid it.
