Rooms were lovely. It was for a special occasion and the hotel left a lovely cake and decorations in the room. The walk into the centre was only 10 minutes, but there is a metro and tram stop right outside. We would 100% recommend and stop here again!

On the first day, I was a little worried about the location, that it would be tough to walk late at night from downtown, even though it is not that far but a little sketchy area. However, it worked out very well. UberX was only 4 euros and every day we were walking down to the city center or Alfama areas and then taking Uber back to the hotel. Hotel was I think the best we've stayed at, even better than Las Vegas hotels. Spotless and very modern, comfy beds, comforters. Buffet breaskfast was also very good with variety. Service was also very unique, not your typical front desk, but you're greeted by a person and make seated for check in and the person takes you up to the room, explaining how everything works, etc --a service we never had anywhere else. I would definitely recommend Dos Rios. Staying in the heart of the city could have been nice but prices are very steep, not even comparable.

The staff was so kind to my friend and I and even decorated the room for her birthday. They have a restaurant in the hotel if you don't feel like going to explore which came in handy. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone staying in Lisbon!

Our stay at this hotel was overall mixed. The property itself is beautiful, and the atmosphere felt welcoming. Our room, while nicely designed, was a bit small and lacked storage space to fully unpack. Check-in was a highlight— the woman who assisted us was incredibly kind and made the process smooth and pleasant. However, there were a couple of issues that impacted our experience. On our first day, the hotel had a water outage. Luckily it was resolved before we needed to leave, but it was still an inconvenient start. Most importantly, the breakfast service was extremely disappointing. The man working the breakfast area was consistently rude, and his attitude made the experience uncomfortable. When we asked simple questions, he responded with unnecessary attitude. I also overheard him refer to another guest as “gorda” (fat) in Portuguese, which was shocking and completely unacceptable. This reflects poorly on the hotel and is something management should address immediately. Because of this, we chose not to return for breakfast, despite having paid for it each day. Unfortunately, this experience alone would keep us from staying here again.
