Ocean surf was closed they sent us to another hotel , the broadmoor hotel . The broadmoor hotel charged us an extra 108 dollars than the initial price was for ocean surf. The refrigerator didn’t work and they switched our room from 2 doubles to one king . The tv only got like 5 channels and none of them were in English .

hotel was cute, very vintage tho. location is amazing and comes with two beach chairs which is a huge plus. The staff was friendly and very cool helped us alot. the only thing is the the hotel room wasnt very clean but other than that i would stay here again.

First off I normally read all reviews before choosing to pay for anything. This time I did not. Really just needed to get away. Our hotel was switched to the Broadmoor. Which really wasn't as bad. But no notification was given until we arrived. The best part about this location, was the access to the beach and the view from our room... The Beach was literally across the street..

Checked into the hotel and was a little concerned right off the bat about the location. The pictures on Expedia and the hotel’s website do not match what the place actually looks like. The hallways look outdated and smell like cigarette smoke. In the room, one of our outlets was broken and couldn’t be used. Also, the window in the bathroom wouldn’t lock or stay open. The toilet was broken and ran the entire time and often wouldn’t flush. We were promised cable tv channels on Expedia but instead got only local antenna channels mostly in Spanish. The tv language was also set in Spanish making it harder to use. The safe was also broken. At night, things got worse as the people in the room next to us were smoking cigarettes all night and the smoke was wafting under the connecting door between the two rooms. Made it uncomfortable and difficult to breathe at night. As far as security is concerned, it is virtually nonexistent. Our room keys would often stop working and once we were trying to get into our room and a housekeeper simply swiped her keycard and let us into the room. Not safe. When we went to the front desk to ask for new keycards, the man only asked what room we were in and gave us the new cards with no other questions or verification. Made me feel very unsafe and uneasy about staying here. Also I must mention that as we were checking out, I heard numerous complaints about cockroaches in the rooms on the first floor.

The area is rundown and sketchy. Places are abandoned and have wooden boards on windows/doors. Soon as we entered the hotel the woman checking in was rude and not very helpful. We checkin early for an extra $40 fee. The room was very small for two beds. The bathroom shower didn’t even have a door to close it, it was half open. The tv was not a flat screen it was the older boxed ones. No lamps were on the any bed stand. Just had the one main light for the room. Place was not clean and the bathroom seemed unfinished.

This hotel is awful. The staff quite frankly do not care, very rarely cleaned our room or gave us new towels. Practically had to go to reception everyday to ask for them. The price to pay staying here is ridiculous when there is another hotel a lot better that is a minute around the corner.

When we arrived they checked us in and sent us to the building next door that was nothing like the pictures online. The building had no one at the front. You had to keep running to the main building if you needed anything. The beds were not comfortable at all and we did kill two cockroaches. We had to keep asking for clean towels.

Terrible experience. The first room we received the beds were undone and bathroom dirty. The second room we received was barely better there was blood on the pillow cases sand on the bed and only 1 towel and no tv in the room. When asked about the tv they said not all rooms had a tv although it is included in the amenities and offered no discount or to even provide one. Only reason we kept the reservation because it was paid and we literally only needed it for a few hours before flying home. The only good thing about the property is the location near the beach but the area is a little sketchy we had a homeless person throw a bottle of water at us from an abandoned rooftop. Not worth the money I’d pay a bit more next time to be in a cleaner establishment.

At check in; the music was so loud you could hardly hear the person behind the counter. No working TV in the room. No simple things such as lamps on the night stands or waste cans. Mold in the bathroom showers. Parking is in the street by meter only. On a positive point, it is close to the beach and walking distance to several good restaurants.
