The hotel is old and needs major renovation. In The rooms are outdated and falling apart. Ceiling in hallway has leak stains. Furniture looks like it’s about to give way. One floor (or possibly half) of the hotel apparently has been renovated and the other half has not. The staff however is super nice and instead of allowing me to run for the hills, she kindly offered to put me in one of the newly renovated rooms on the other side of the hotel, which absolutely saved the day. That room in particular was very nice, modern and comfortable. Hotel Frontenac, please get a business loan and remodel the entire hotel. Make it a bit more comfortable. For example, the breakfast area look seedy, dark and severely outdated and breakfast looked like what I would imagine prisoner/inmate food to look like, and so I skipped breakfast The staff however were super nice and accommodating. A couple lovely Jamaican ladies brought some humor and kindness to the situation. That’s one of the few positives to this place. Would I return? No, I would not, unless you are into low end hotels and trying to save some $$$

There was about twelve parking spots available. The building was in major need of repairs. Water leaking from the ceiling in the reception area. The hallway on the floors are in disrepair. Just aweful. Hallways need to be gutted and remodeled. Sink in my bathroom was plugged. Someone on the elevator complained that their tv was broken. I would skip this property until fully remodeled unless it is a last resort

Check in was terrible, no good morning, no welcome, and she ( Melinda) was very angry anytime i asked something, no explain nothing about hotel, daily cleaning room no exists for 5 night they clean my room only once, even i request 3 time they never show until 5pm when my kids was sleeping, no breakfast in this hotel, ( breakfast has bread and butter) and if u want egg or something more, u have to pay..

Swimming pool was closed ,once promised us to reopen it and no succes Laundry room was not working Breakfast was poor ,if u want to get proper food you have to pay for it extra Cleaners was cleaning our room once in 3 days Promised free parking actually was for the price 30-40 dollars per day Absolutely dissatisfied and disappointed with service and ammentities around this hotel One star and a lot of regrets ,never will come back again

The breakfast is not what the pictures indicate. Natural lighting is limited at best. Hidden fees you don’t know about until you check in. Strange odor in the rooms. But it was nice and cheap being next to the beach. Just remember there is a reason for that.

The beach was fine. The rooms were nothing like the photos and the pool was not open. In order to get ice for your rooms, you had to go all the way down to the lobby. Housekeeping. Never came not even for fresh towels. There was no parking for the guest. The continental breakfast was basically bread and cheese with hot and cold cereal. And also only one staff member was able to speak English and he was consumed with other customers and guest. Rooms, had a mildew, like odor therefore I had to buy room freshener from the local Walgreens across the street. The overall experience did not meet my expectations.

Place is a cheap option for a reason. If all you want is a beach and a clean room, it’s velow average but clean. But I found it underwhelming and outdated. FYI—the pool is closed and will be for a while, and homeless people often wander into the lobby in the evenings. Breakfast was literally cold salami, cheese, and white bread. At least they had a toaster, I guess. The surrounding businesses are full of overpriced scammers who prey on tourists. Overall, it was a bad experience for me and my wife—a pretty lousy spot where locals treat tourists poorly, especially the Uber drivers. I recommend finding a hotel around Lincoln Boulevard—you’ll have a much better experience there. Ill never go back to miami personally in hindsight I shiuld have just gone straight to Key west for vacation.
