Since my last stay, the property is updated, clean and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. However, the breakfast wasn't up to par. Cold eggs, greasy limp bacon, and strange-tasting coffee. We appreciated the convenience of it, but only went our first morning. Also, had a strange issue once with hot water in the shower. Happily it was only once, where the water switched back and forth between hot and cold.

The hotel in Carmel met our expectations. Its location is perfect! You can explore the charming town on foot and conveniently park your car at the hotel. It’s not luxurious, but it’s warm, cozy, and very comfortable. We would love to return!

The place was clean and the room was spacious and comfortable. The location is excellent! Right in town so you can walk to shops and restaurants. Breakfast is simple but very nice to have to start the day. Would definitely stay here again!

Great stay in Carmel.

Front staff was very accommodating as we were delayed a day due to snow storm in Sequioa. Such a great welcome! Everything was great: location, parking, clean room, comfy bed, strong water pressure, gas heater, decent breakfast with scrambled egg and bacon. Only cons: room smells like a very old grandma’s bedroom. We will return again.

Enjoyed the stay at this lovely hotel. A short walk into town or the beach. Great location. Let down by breakfast, not enough seats, poor selection of food with only bread suitable for dairy free diet. They ran out of bread for toast by 9.30 one morning, leaving no option for a dairy free breakfast. Even though there was a grocery shop next door, they could not provide bread and we had to go elsewhere and pay extra for breakfast.
