Absolutely Charming Home
It took us a few years to actually get to this home. The process started just before Covid 2020 hit, which delayed things. So, I dreamed about staying in this home for a while. Eric was always very kind and helpful. He worked with me, allowing me to transfer the dates and I didn’t lose any of the money I had previously paid. Although the setting of the house was a little more in the city than I thought it would be, it felt like the country once we were there. I love the cornfields behind the house and enjoyed sitting outside in the mornings and evenings. The kitchen was small, but very functional. Much of the house felt like stepping back in time, although there were some modern areas, there was such character everywhere! It had meaningful old-farmhouse furniture that I adored. However, the bathroom upstairs was modern, spacious and very nice. We enjoyed the beautiful fireplace and overall felt very at home in this uniquely charming house. I’ll remember our stay here in my heart for a very long time.

What a unique experience!
This ancestral home is simply amazing. You feel as if you have traveled back in time but with modern amenities. The quirks of the property make it so charming. However, as one previous reviewer stated, if anyone in your party is tall, he/she will have to be careful of doorways. My husband who is 6'4 hit his head a few times on the doorways (nothing serious, he simply forgot to duck). The home is very clean, supplied with everything you would need and had ample towels, linens, etc. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. Montreal is a short 30 minute drive. We had several wonderful meals at restaurants in Beloeil, along the river. The area is quite nice and we couldn't have asked for a better stay. Thank you, Eric for your speedy responses and for sharing your historical home with us.

Ancestral House Indeed!
We were 3 couples on a trip to visit Montréal, who wanted to stay outside the city! This house was perfect for us! We enjoyed the house inside and out. It’s an old house, floors creak, door creak, temps vary from room to room, area to area, but we expected all that in a house built in 1775! ( our home was built in 1812, so we are well aware). The hot tub was great, the doors For the pool room Need some attention, they were VERY hard to open, and we were really looking forward to enjoying that space, so worked on them until we got it done. Some small things to note there are 2 stair cases, both are difficult to manage. One set is very steep and narrow while the other is lacking any railings at all. The beds were all very comfy, the bathrooms and showers great, good water pressure too! the house has room for many more than our party of 6! We cooked in most nights and enjoyed the dining area for our shared meal time. We would definitely stay here again if ever back in the area! Thank you Eric!

Nice big home
It is a very nice home with a huge yard and fun useful barn. Everything is old, everything cracks ! the bedding is luxurious and comfy but the beds do crack a lot,we had to sleep in different beds! the house is pretty clean but the kitchen/baseboards and lights would need a deep cleaning but all in all it was very comfortable, and we enjoyed the backyard a lot. very convenient too.

Great property and Location
This property and location were fantastic! We were excited about the close by commuter train but didn’t actually use it during our stay. We did run out of propane while there but the property manager was quick to respond and to bring us two new tanks. This is a special old house in beautiful farm like location with a quick drive from the city. I recommend this property.

Nice house in lovely little town in Quebec
We enjoyed our stay. The home was easy to enter, well organized and had everything we needed. Unfortunately the whirlpool was not available until the end of the week but we did manage to enjoy it.

Wonderful stay! Wonderful host!
This property is truly something special. The history of the home is incredible, and it manages to convey all the charms of a bygone era. Yet the updates provide plenty of modern-day convenience and comfort. Truly the best of both worlds! We had lots of questions and the host answered them all quickly and helpfully, going above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. One thing to note: If you're tall, be aware that this home may be a bit challenging. Half of our party had to crouch a lot inside to avoid hitting exposed beams and door frames. And the steps are a bit steep, so probably not a good fit for anyone with mobility issues. But overall, this home was a great place to vacation! The kids made great use of the pool house, and the kitchen was well-appointed to handle any cooking.

F1 weekend in Montreal
Had an amazing time at Eric's home outside of Montréal. My wife and I, our 3 boys & their significant others all enjoyed our stay. Everything was as advertised. Eric was very prompt in responding to any questions that we had. Would definitely recommend this to any one interested in this property. Plan on going back next year for the Formula One race.
