Nice place to stay

When we went to Canada we wanted a nice quiet place to stay that was near the city. The Hilton delivered this. We were disappointed to discover that the pool and gym area were under construction while we were there, but we did go off season so it is understandable. There were a few odd things such as a bottle of water left in the room that looked complimentary but with further inspection was actually $* and the newspaper that was only free if you returned to the front desk after reading it. All in all though it was a nice place to stay. The rooms were clean and the staff was more then willing to help you with anything you might need. My advice would just be to read everything carefully and call ahead to see that everything will be open upon your arrival.

poor experience

We arrived very late in the day with no reservation and the receptionist quoted me a price for a two day stay in double room. I went back to the car and came back with my wife and suitcases. Then another receptionist was at the counter. We proceeded with the check in and the price had jumped by dollars. I told him that I was just told differently by the other receptionist. He went to the back and then returned and said the difference is for the second person. Very poor way of handle customers and it doesn't make any sense why someone would change extra for a second person in a double room. Of course we left and checked into the Sheraton near by. Hotel business is all about service and customer satisfaction. I will never return there again.
