Old, not classic.

Staff was nice, but they were out of parking when we arrived right at check in time. The place itself had zero decor, uncovered outlets, a crooked floor, and very old and worn fixtures. Also, roaches. Definitely not the New Orleans charm we were hoping for.

Prime location, horrible service and filthy rooms and grounds. Upon checking in to both rooms immediately noticed they were unswept, insisted and unclean. Went to front desk after taking picture and was told the dirt I saw was normal basically like it couldn't be swept up. I also told him there no towels in one room to which he replied he had none, but he'd send housekeeping tomorrow to clean both rooms and bring towels. I went to the store to buy cleaning supplies to clean myself. When we arrived back to get in bed we noticed the sheets were stained and dirty. So we grabbed our travel blankets out of the car. Day 2 when we arrived back we came to a made bed, trash still in room still unswept and 1 dry towels. Went to front desk asked for towels was told there were none and to check back. So went went to buy our own towels and came back to find a big roach in the tub. After handling this and regrouping we sat outside on the courtyard where 2 big sewer rats ran across our feet. But the location is perfect. I reported to the 3rd party I booked through and the hotel refuses to respond

Misleading stay

Woke up to the ceiling leaking water all over the floor. I couldn’t even take a shower before checking out. Plus, they offered me a $11 refund for some fee. I am going to be fighting the charge with my bank. Terrible business.

Staff was exceptional. The location of the hotel is perfect for walking everywhere downtown and only an 18 minute drive to the airport. Will stay here every time we come to NOLA in the future.

Super cool spot. Gorgeous hotel. No complaints on the materiel front. Parking is like $50 which is frustrating, but it makes sense. Really it’s a 130-140$ hotel if you have a car. It is supper nice though so it is worth it. Just wish parking was like $25-$40 not fifty whatever it is

Girls birthday weekend

The hotel was so authentic and beautiful. The internet was out so we had no television. Everything was very clean the building is very old and you can tell it. The bathroom door would not shut in our room. The pool was so cute and nice. The location is wonderful for all the scenery in Nola.

We miss this hotel already! Historical...was surprised it was so convenient to everything. Beautiful rooms, sunny spacious lobby. Friendly and attentive staff. We arrived in the middle of a downpour and the front desk was so kind. Only problem was trying to get in and out of the very high bed. Could have used TWO two-step small platforms for both sides of the bed.

Let me start by saying this was a cool place. The pools, while needing to be cleaned, were in neat little courtyards. They are perfect for one family or if people just want to stand in there and have drinks. One pool was a decent temp but the other felt like bath water. The set up is quite unusual with its many corridors and different buildings, all adding to its appeal. The building itself is very old which gave us reassurance that if anything happened during our stay, this building would weather well. However, the mattress covers were dirty, the sink did not drain, the floors were squishy, the lightbulbs in the vanity were flickering, we ran across a few cockroaches outside in the courtyard and one very large rat while we we at the pool. We understand that we are in the south and in a big city so cockroaches and rats are likely. We never saw any in the rooms or corridors. We were charged incorrectly during our stay, crap happens, I’m just saying check your statements. We had large windows so street noise was a thing but it was moderate in July. We travel with a sound machine so we didn’t have a problem. For my husband and I the bed was extra extra firm and I had trouble sleeping but my teenage son slept perfectly, depends on your needs. We found objects from previous guests in our rooms so take what you will with that information. This place was not terrible. It was totally doable and I’ve stayed in worse.
