Overall we loved La Galerie. Room and property were pretty / clean. Staff was very kind / polite and helpful. The ONLY negative was the water pressure with the toilet. It would not complete a flush properly which got old over 4.5 days. We mentioned to the front desk and they sent someone up to fix it. I’d say it got a little better for maybe 24 hours but went right back to the same thing. It made me think that they have a bigger issue with the plumbing? But overall terrific stay. Would definitely stay again IF the plumbing issue ceased to be a problem. :)
I have no clue why this hotel has such high ratings. The property is in really bad condition. Service is horrendous and negligible. They didn’t clean our room, the toiletries were empty, the rollout bed was a thing out of a horror movie, the room was dirty, the towels were pretty much rags…the list goes on.
That is what is within their control. Outside of that, the noise levels from room to room are disturbing.
Unless there is nothing else available in the vicinity, I would advise to stir away from this —— hole.
Great for our one night stay. Helpful front desk. Very small bathroom but does the job.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Staff & service
I always like to start off with the positives....the room was clean and spacious. The location was great...close to bars and restaurants. Now for the negatives...the staff/housekeeping was terrible. I had asked twice (in person to the housekeeping personnel who was cleaning another room on our floor) to fill the soap in the bathroom/shower (both dispensers were completely empty upon my arrival) when they cleaned our room.
After the second day, I still had no soap so I called the attendant downstairs at 5:00 p.m. was told there was nothing she could do because housekeeping was closed. They finally filled the dispensers on the third day.
The a/c was not working well. The room was very hot at night. Also, the safe did not work. We had maintenance come to open it so we could actually use it, but we ended up not using it because it did not work when we attempted to lock it before leaving for the day.
I, personally, would not stay at this hotel again.
Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel was very clean, room w king was nice!! The grilled oysters at Coterie were amazing. We will definitely plan another trip to NOLA and stay here again.
Excellent location, close to Bourbon without all the noise.

Cute hotel but needs improvements
Hotel is pretty as you walk in and the representative was nice and helpful. The rooms were decent. The beds were terrible though. Squeaky and hard. They def need to invest in better beds. I booked a room with 2 queen beds but the beds seemed like they were only full size. You can hear everything in the hall and in the rooms around you. It needs better sound proofing. Over all, the stay was decent and the hotel is in a great location. However, after 3 nights, my back is killing me and we had horrible nights of sleep because of the lack of comfort.
New Orleans is always an interesting place to visit. The food was amazing, we ate at the Cotier several times and each time did not disappoint.
The problem was with the fact that the room was not soundproof, there was NO place for my dog to poop. She didn’t mind peeing on the cement, but refused to poop on it. The check in girl was friendly, but the next shift that came in after her was completely unhelpful. She couldn’t direct us to any small shops and just printed us off a map, which was at least something. Also the parking SUCKS. People stayed park in the area that was for loading and unloading, so we had to traverse 2 blocks with luggage, a 5 year old and a dog. The hotel was nice, but won’t be staying here again.
Overall great location
