This experience wasn’t very pleasant. When I got to the hotel it was an area that had very few amenities and seemed quite run down. When I entered the hotel the receptionist wasn’t friendly at all and asked me from my card even though I explained booking site already ran the card and charged me again. Then I was told this was authorization but this did not make sense as they said their online on one of the FAQ that the damage deposit was $100 and this was the whole amount of my stay. She wasn’t even allowing me to show her the double charge on my banking app. The next morning I woke up to an itchy bite on my hand. I quickly dressed and hoped to get to another receptionist to sort out the matter from the previous night. She said the same thing about the payment and did not ask about my stay whatsoever so I just gave my cards in and rather than try to discuss anything further and wait to see if this amount comes back to my card account. The first receptionist said when I checked out I would have it returned and the second one 3-5 days so I will have to keep an eye on it and didn’t feel their communication was consistent. This hotel came highly recommended on the booking sites but this was not a positive experience. The hotel room and breakfast were basic but the room was quite so that is one positive aspect.

This place was just fine, especially for the price. Nice walkable area. Very convenient to get to Manhattan by train, but not as convenient to get to other parts of Brooklyn. There was a stain on the wall and a stain on our comforter but other than that our room was very clean.
