Excellent Stay at the Villager Lodge

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Rooms were very clean. We had jaccuzzi suite which had LCD tv, Ironing, hair dryer, refrigerator and microwave that worked fine. Lots of digital channels to watch. good breakfast and clean inviting pool. Cant find better than this for sure. Staff was very helpfull. Will go back there for sure.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

Pros: Free breakfast
Cons: see list under review!
Suprised by extra person fee at hotel check in; no carpet at hotel; duct tape on floor between bedroom & bathroom; no box springs for mattress- it was on a wooden block (extremely hard); no fitted sheets (just a poorly sized flat sheet covering mattress); no central AC- it was a wall unit (no AC in bathroom); front desk unable to help me with restaurant choices; poor quality bathroom supplies; 3 fuzzy tv channels to choose from; poor locking mechanism on door; breakfast: corn flakes or cheerios with only whole milk (not refrigerated- just on the counter in a jug), only white bread for toast (butter & jam), hard boiled eggs (on counter in bowl), tang & a red drink; only positives: not far from falls & free parking. The worst hotel I've ever stayed at.

Not worth the money.

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet
Cons: Noisy, Poor breakfast
Hotel has a good value unless you plan to stay on weekends... price doubles on Friday & Saturday. Staff was friendly. But.... Refrigerator was not cold. When we turned it up, it began making noises and sounded like someone was beating on the wall, and it never did get very cold. Vanity light above sink came on 20 minutes after turning on the switch. Shower was kind of gross. Had to go to front desk and get buzzed in just to get ice... which I had to dig from the bottom of a big freezer that everyone else sticks their hands in. TV remote did not work at all. Pool was nice and clean. Hotel was nice from the outside. Beds were clean.

So so stay

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: Poor breakfast
Room was clean but very old in appearance. Walls were chipped and needed new paint. Carpet looked like it needed replacing. Oder of smoke evident. Shower was nice, good amount of hot water. Ok, for just a quick overnight stay or two. Breakfast area very small and poor quality.

bachelor party

Rooms clean. Bed comfortable. Shower had nice pressure. Price good. People nice. Unfortunately, a 10 room bach party showed up. Each had booked own room apparently. Owner tried his best but as soon as he would go in, party got loud again. He came out a number of times. Went on until 4. Gave us a free night to compensate. Lodge might be a better bet than that marriage, from the conversations we heard. We will stay here again. Not owners fault, and he took care of us as well as he could since we had booked on line and not through lodge itself. Again, fair accommodations for the price.

Family Vacation

Clean, Odorless,Neat Appearance, Friendly Staff... This Hotel is the perfect spot if you're looking for inexpensive, near the falls lodging. Not within walking distance but it makes up with the condition of the rooms and friendly service. Highly recommended!!! We left a tip which is not required but its an incentive to keep up with the quality of the rooms.
