Short Resort stay

Overall I loved the property; When we arrived we were greeted as soon as we walked in & check in process was smooth. We had a driver take us to our room in a golf cart & overall the resort was very nice! When we got to our room, there was a bug in the shower on the ceiling which it’s Florida so I get bugs are going to be everywhere. My only other complaint was there wasn’t clean sheets/blankets in room so we called and asked for some brought up. The blanket they brought to our room was mildew smelling. Other than that it was a nice room, nice property with a lot to do. We were unaware the water park was 25/person so it would’ve been nice if that’s in the description before booking etc.

Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa: A Great Vacation StartOur two-night stay at Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa (May 9-11) was a fantastic prelude to our 10-day vacation before moving to Vacation Village at Parkway.Check-in was "Red Carpet Service" with excellent, welcoming staff and great service throughout. The resort truly has an abundance of amenities with lots to do, including a central water park. We enjoyed the relaxed yet bustling atmosphere. Its location is a huge plus, being very close to Universal and Disney parks. Our room, right on the water, was cozy with a wonderful jetted bathtub.Frustrating VRBO Host CommunicationWhile the resort was great, our VRBO host communication was severely frustrating. My attempts to confirm the reservation via Westgate's 800-number failed (direct front desk calls are needed for third-party bookings). When the host eventually called with me, they found it but then repeatedly cut me off and refused to provide the direct number I needed for anniversary arrangements, insisting I "didn't need it." My follow-up chat message went unanswered. This poor host communication significantly marred the booking experience.Highly RecommendedDespite the host issue, I'll absolutely rent from Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa again! This was my third visit, and it's now a planned annual stop before our Vacation Village stay. The resort consistently delivers an excellent experience.

Massive but homey

We loved our stay here. Jake and the resort staff were more than happy to help us with check-in, the check-out process, and pur room, which was massive, but definitely gave you the comforts of home. We would gladly stay here again.

Westgate Resort

The unit was amazing, as was it’s proximity to the theme parks. So convenient! However, considering the amount of guests they have checking in, they should have more staff to help them with the check-in process. Aside from that, it was fantastic!!! I would definitely consider staying there again.

Spring Break

My daughter and I stayed here for spring break and it was a great stay. Check in was smooth and location is great. About 15 mins to Disney and Universal, less than 10 to Sea World. Resort is well kept and there’s lots of options to keep kids entertained. Owner communicates well!

Wonderful Stay

We chose this property because of its location and closeness to Universal Studios. It was so nice to be able to take backroads rather than congested major highways. There were other conveniences in the area as well. Check-in was smooth, and we found the room to be clean and well supplied. It was just as described. The property manager was also very communicative. We would definitely stay here again.
