My stay at this hotel was unfortunately disappointing. The overall cleanliness was poor — I had to clean the room myself upon arrival. There was a questionable stain on the desk, and the shower had unpleasant reddish-orange stains. To make matters worse, I found a huge bug in my room. The beds were uncomfortable, though I will say the pillows were actually very nice.
During part of my stay, the elevators were broken, which was frustrating, though I give credit that they were repaired fairly quickly. The front desk staff in general were subpar and not very helpful, but I do want to highlight Umoja, who was super sweet, approachable, and very thorough. She made me feel welcomed and shared helpful information, which I greatly appreciated.
Breakfast left much to be desired — the waffle maker was broken, and the options were minimal. It’s really just a very basic continental breakfast, and the hotel itself had an odd smell throughout.
Overall, while I appreciated Umoja’s kindness and the comfortable pillows, the lack of cleanliness, maintenance issues, and underwhelming service make it hard for me to recommend this hotel.
