The valet took my luggage and it sat in the lobby unattended for hours until I found it myself. For the amount of money paid for the hotel was not happy with the room.

The room and bathroom was very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful, there are several places to eat within walking distance, good hotel to stay for a penguins game. The only thing we didn’t like was the pillows were too squashy.

We booked a corner room junior suite at this hotel. When we first arrived there was nowhere to park on the street to have the valet take the car. We were told to go around the block and they would hold an open space a few cars back. We went round and had to park the car ourselves in that space. We gave the keys and went inside to check-in. The room looked ok after check-in so we unpacked. When we used the bathroom sink, leaked right out onto the floor. We called the front desk who wanted to fix it but couldn't say how long it would take (and it was already late). We were moved to a new room by a front desk person, and told it was an upgrade, but the new room was half the size. The front desk texted me to say they had added "10,000 points" to my IHG account and credited me for the valet charge for my inconvenience. I said this was unacceptable but would speak in the morning. Now it's almost midnight and we lost an hour of sleep. We left our breakfast order on the door knob. The kitchen called repeatedly at 7am until we were awakened only to say the "steak and eggs" we ordered was a misprint on the menu, it was $41 not $14 as advertised, did we still want it? Another 90 minutes of sleep lost. I noticed when we woke I had a phone notification from my car app that said that our (valeted) car was unlocked on the street. I texted the front desk about this issue. Breakfast arrived, we had ordered two coffees and only received one. Then the front desk called, to s

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Monaco! Parking could definitely be a challenge if you aren’t familiar with downtown PGH and the way things operate, but valet was quick, helpful and very kind. The ladies at the front desk were SO friendly! They were quick to acknowledge me, check us in, and gave a very detailed rundown of the property, making our welcome warm and inviting. The rooms are cozy, the decor is chic and the beds are comfy! Bathroom was clean and stocked with amenities. We didn’t take advantage of their room service/ in room breakfast delivery - which I did find to be a mistake on our end because getting morning coffee was a task since there are no coffee makers in the room, but again, my fault for not ordering! Check out was smooth, and the staff encouraged our return. Will ABSOLUTELY be back!!!
