The grounds are stunning. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. What really stood out was the service which was really excellent. From the moment we arrived to when we left, we felt taken care of. We ate at most of the restaurants and the food was very good at each one. The staff were great. Very supportive and available for any questions. Their “concierges” were pushing the breakfast/time share thing pretty strongly and we were not interested but several kept trying. The rooms were clean and well serviced. We had adjoining rooms; 1 room had an ill flushing toilet and the other had a shower head with terribly low pressure when set to warm/hot. The food was adequate with lots of variety. We enjoyed the Mexican and Brazilian restaurants but the other speciality restaurants were not good. The buffet breakfast/lunch and dinner restaurants were good.

We have traveled over the holidays twice to Iberostar Del Mar Cancun. We find it to be clean, food options are great. Accommodations for gluten free and vegan are becoming more available. The tropical environment of the resort is fantastic. But what makes this place so special, is the staff. They are friendly, helpful, and make you feel like family. Highly recommend.
