The room had a terrible order,when someone came up to investigate they pretended like they could not smell it.So we had to pull a random person in the room to ask did they smell any thing.Even they said the smell was horrible.The food was horrible. They were stains on bedding they had to change that.We had to leave early because of the weather and flights where we are from.They had issues with us checking out early tried to explain abou TV the weather in flight problems.Also they did not want to call transportation to take us to the airport.It took minute to convince them of that.All can say I will never go back there.

My kids really enjoyed every second of this vacations. The rooms were big and comfortable. The service was top notch. We enjoyed all the shows that were offered specially the one on Tuesday. The pijama breakfast was an amazing experience, but they did not offer as much as in the spatula restaurant. The food in good burger and the pizza place were amazing all the other restaurants were at hit or miss depending on the day. Overall, we enjoyed everything about this resort.

We went January 2026. I know the resort is more expensive than the average so I’ll give you pros and cons from us (family of 4, with 2 kids 6 and 8). Pros: Cleanest resort we have been to by far. Service was excellent. It was also VERY quiet when we went though so didn't have to fight over chairs etc. (not sure if you even have to here?) Lots of entertainment options for littles, waterpark is super fun! Downsides (IMO) - The water park (aqua nick), main lobby building and hotel are all separate. So you have to shuttle to everything. (Like... through a forest. Not walkable with little ones) We understand why (people there can go to the water park for the day and other resorts come for the day, so for safety they keep hotel separate). However, we did wish at least the main building was close because we skipped night events sometimes because we didn't feel like waiting in line for a shuttle to get there. Nothing happens at the hotel building. There are still wonderful restaurants etc in hotel building but otherwise... it was kinda boring there. (again... for us. We like night parties etc) Also It’s NOT a beach resort if you like beaches. They do their best with up-keep but it is a small beach area.

We weren’t a fan of the concierge trying to sell us some exclusive membership under the guise of a free breakfast. Also, a basketball court or some outdoor sports would have been fun. We also found that a grab and go snack option at the residence building would be a helpful addition for the post-brunch/pre-dinner munchies that we often experienced. But the waterpark and activities were fun, the room was comfortable, and the food was good.

We stayed at the Nickelodeon Riviera Maya for a week on a family trip with children and a baby, and it was a very disappointing experience. In our opinion, this hotel is seriously overrated and does not come close to a true 5-star standard. Considering the many genuine luxury 5-star resorts available in Cancun and the Riviera Maya at better prices, this hotel is extremely overpriced. Overall quality feels closer to a 3-star hotel. The hotel does not really have a usable beach. The small stretch of beach is very limited, the ocean is full of rocks and debris, and the waves are strong. There are not enough lounge chairs, and there is no staff providing service on the beach. Food quality is very poor. We ended up leaving the resort to have dinner almost every day at restaurants in Cancun, which added extra cost and travel time, simply because eating at the hotel consistently was not an option. The rooms are fine, but service throughout the hotel is slow and inefficient, which is unacceptable for a property marketed as luxury. Shuttle transportation between the lobby, rooms, and Aqua Nick water park is extremely slow. Aqua Nick water park is well themed with Nickelodeon characters, has good slides and pools, and is enjoyable. In hindsight, we should have stayed at another hotel and visited Aqua Nick for only one or two days. While the water park is worth visiting, the Nickelodeon Riviera Maya is not recommended as a hotel. It is absolutely not worth the price.

I am writing to formally report a serious safety incident that occurred during my recent stay and to request a refund. During the night (approximately 12:30 a.m.), a hotel employee conducted a room check without knocking or announcing himself. I was in the room with my sister and three infants under the age of one. Due to the lack of notice, we believed there was an immediate safety threat and reacted out of fear. Following this incident, we were told by the Manager on Duty that we needed to vacate the property before 6:30 a.m. He stated this needed to happen quietly so other staff would not be involved. We were also told we could be “locked up” if a claim was filed, which caused extreme distress given that infants were present. When I asked to see the hotel policy regarding late-night room checks, I was informed that the policy was not written and was simply “what they do.” This explanation was unacceptable and concerning, especially considering guest privacy and safety standards. Being forced to leave the property in the early morning hours with three babies after such an incident was traumatic and unsafe. The situation was handled improperly, without de-escalation, documentation, or appropriate concern for child safety. Due to: • the unannounced room entry • the fear and distress caused • the presence of three infants • the manner in which we were pressured to leave • and the lack of written policy or proper incident handling

We stayed at Nickelodeon Resort as a party of five (two adults, kids 4, 5 and 9) and left with mixed feelings: the entertainment team at the waterpark and theatre was outstanding and the kids loved the character meet-and-greets, and our room was comfortable with a well-stocked fridge and a balcony pool, but many other aspects fell short for the price. Dining was mediocre and service inconsistent—we repeatedly waited to be seated (even at the buffet) and often had to flag down servers—while the hotel is about 2 miles from the main lobby/park and shuttle waits with young children were inconvenient (management did provide a go-cart for the rest of our stay after we complained). Other negatives: character dining is an expensive add-on, the café has very limited morning hours, and there’s little for older kids beyond the waterpark. Overall, fun entertainment but logistical and service issues mean we won’t be returning.

The best experience for kids ever, highly recommend it, at the beginning you need to get to know the facility and the stuff are very helpful, food is the best , many many activities specially for kids, rooms and room services are above and beyond , very clean , very attractive and beautiful, pool water cleaner than ozarka water, I am traveler and have been in many places around the world, this one is from my top list for families with kids 1-15 , yes its expensive little bit but worth every penny and more.
