We have stayed at this hotel before and it was pleasant. However this most recent stay was less than stellar. The room had chipped furniture and the bed was so creaky and broken and there was a cigarette burn through the sheets. We brought our dog and last time we were not charged a pet fee and the woman at the front desk explained we should have had it so I signed. The inconsistency is unfair. Also- the woman at the front desk was rather “threatening” with us having a dog. That “we better not see you without him” and statements like that. Not very welcoming to say the least.

The hotel was quiet and clean. It was a little awkward driving to it , because you have through 2 parking lots ( home depot and christmas yree/bedbathand beyond ). Only one person working at desck at night. We asked for more pillows and blankets, they had none.....breakfast was typical. Not very good. Staff were polite. Thermostat on wall broke. It was stuck at 63. Too cold. No maintenance at night.

This property sits about 7 min from downtown Portsmouth, self parking is free and plenty of parking. Nice snack/ wine available at their little store area. Friendly staff and free breakfast was well prepared.

Very clean and comfy, the room smelled good, sheets smelled fresh. Receptionist at 1am was not very friendly and seemed too busy to really pay attention to us as arriving guests because he wanted to be on his phone call which he was in when I entered and as soon as he handed me the key to the room. The entrance road to the hotel was not plowed well at all. Overall I recommend it as a nice clean comfy place to stay the only drawbacks were the overnight reception person and the road leading to the hotel.
