Did the job, but not great

Dated, old motel that someone is obviously trying to fix up. Our room was not great….,bathroom was best part. Bed comfortable, but bed linens didn’t look crisp and fresh. No table lamps, just an overhead light, old furniture. Nothing on the walls. Upon arrival, door to our room was wide open and basket of towels (dirty or clean? Couldn’t tell) was piled up in front with no housekeeper in sight.. Breakfast was ordinary and not very good. Grounds to property were lovely. Very well maintained.

While the grounds are very pleasant, the actual room was below expectations. Some little things to mention, no rug in the front entrance of the room, and being the weather was quite rainy, we were tracking our wet feet into the room. Also, the room could use some towel racks to actually hang up a towel, and the bathroom had some moldy areas where the door trim was. The toilet paper holder was barely hanging onto the wall, and there was a wall plate from the closet laying on the floor and would not stay attached to the wall unless the garbage pail was pressed up against it. The heater was caked in dust, and being that the weather was damp and cool when turning on the heating unit, the unit itself blew out quite a bit of dust into the room. Overall, a little disappointing for the money.
