Cheap renovations do not make a boutique hotel

Very disappointed: Bedding was stained and had to be changed. There was only 1 towel, even though we had stated 2 adults and 1 child when we booked. That fabulous looking coffee maker that they advertise? Well you have to pay for the coffee! The shower was terrible, it was virtually impossible to regulate the temperature of the water. The sink is in the room (not in the bathroom). The room is extremely small and cramped. And to top everything off there was a false-alarm fire at 4 in the morning, for which we were given no explanation, apology or discount.

Remodeled motel

Cons: Continental breakfast should be included and no charges for coffee & tea in room. This hotel was a nice remodel of an older motel.
Just satisfactory, I expected a more upscale hotel

This is a very nice hotel

Economical, clean, modern, has an outdoor pool which we thought closed to early at 8pm so we never got to use it. Room was very comfortable, no outlets near bed however, but ample plugs in desk area. Great shower great products. If you don't mind driving through town to old Quebec it's great.

Not impressed

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
The room was small, the bed was just ok, there was no vanity to put your toiletterie, no where to hang your robe, there was no coffee machine except an expresso machine and they wanted $2 for a coffee or tea. The color of the walls is ok If you like dark greys. The personel was fine, but the room was not worth the extra money.

Nice place to stay

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Nice place, clean, quiet, friendly staff. Only downside is that the dedicated place for smokers very close to the building. We tried to open the windows to get some fresh air but our room immediatelly was filled with the nasty smoke from outside. Otherwise the hotel was fine.

1st Class - top to bottom

Easily found just after crossing the bridge into Quebec. The hotel is modern and staffed by friendly, competent professionals. The rooms were spacious, quiet and modern. The bathroom had a giant showerhead in the glassed in shower the mini-fridge had a freezer section for our gel packs, and the alarm clock even had a dock for my iPhone. It is a simple drive from the hotel into Old Quebec - just follow Chemin Saint Louis through some lovely neighborhoods and it leads you straight into Old Quebec. Parking is tricky but we found a spot and the drive back to the hotel was just as easy. Breakfast is a notch above most buffets - a nice selection of items, properly cooked and elegantly presented.

Best Hotel Experience Ever

I stayed at the Hotel Sepia in May 2008 and was blown away by the experience. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable, the staff friendly, and the location perfect if you are willing to take a 10 minute bus ride into town. I can't wait to come back to this hotel and to Quebec City!
