The location was perfect, walkable to everything but in a little bit quieter location. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was very nice. We enjoyed the roof top bar as well. The room was comfortable although the bath was small with no counter space and a tight shower. We could not figure out the thermostat so was alway a bit stuffy and warm in the room. Overall a good home base for a visit to Rome.

At check in it eas fund that there had been a mix up with my resŕvation. A day was missing. Even though the notel was co pletely full everyone at reception worked to make it right. No excuses. No blame. They made it right. I was madde to feel welcmed and wanted. Afer a long flight muc appreciated.. In additon my stay is part of a 50th class reuinon. . 7 other guests are staying at the hotel. Reception contacted the others and made sure they were aware ofmy arrival so we could connect. Personal care. I cpuldn't be more pleased. An added bonus - the location is incredable. "GRAZIA TANTE". to the staff..

Modern hotel in a convenient location very near the Campo di Fiori market and piazza, and within walking distance of just about everything (or hop on a bus 1/2 block away). Excellent wifi connection and incredible free breakfast (charming staff in the dining room). Across the street is Forno Roscioli, est. 1824, which you can smell from your room. The hotel staff were very helpful especially with directions. Beds are a little firm and there is a bit of city noise but those are the only slight negatives. Overall we loved our stay at Hotel Smeraldo. Very clean rooms, nice rooftop terrace, a great value and great location. We walked some 55 miles during our time in Rome.

Great location

The hotel was perfectly located. Room was quite small. The bed was very hard with hard pillows and noisy. You could hear anyone take a shower, flush the toilet or move a chair. The breakfast staff were very nice a served wonderful espresso or cappuccino.

Love This Hotel!

This was my second stay here...and it won’t be my last. FANTASTIC location if you want to walk to all the sites, clean, comfortable, and great staff!

Pros: location. breakfast buffet
Cons: air conditioning,
located within walking distance (1/2 hour) of many attractions ( Pantheon, Trevi, Colosseum, Vatican, Campo di Fiori). Nice breakfast buffet- attentive staff. We were in an economy room- very small, small window.Newly renovated and very modern but has a mold problem in the shower. Visited mid Oct and the hotel had turned off air- room was 79 at 8PM. They did provide a fan upon request. Shower a decent size compared to others we have stayed in Europe.
