1/Need a handyman to address some issues communicated to host.2/ Really should communicate in listing that there are limited shower/bath options. Downstairs shower could not be used unless less than 5 ft tall and even then, no working lighting. Also, that bathroom toilet not designed for anyone tall or large sp essentially only 1 toilet fully useable for group of 7 normal sized adults.3/ Amenities - need to add a toaster, trash cans in bedrooms and a lock to downstairs bathroom
Beautiful place but management lacked direct communication for issues
We enjoyed the overall stay because of the company involved. These guys never complained we just watched basketball and played dominoes.
But we had no lights on the back porch and it was brought to the attention of management the first night and was never addressed. I attempted to walk o the porch the 2nd night and the step down from the rear down to the porch couldnât be seen for lack of lighting and lost my balance. I didnât fall but I felt pain in my right hip and back the rest of the stay.
No live sports or news on the tv .
Overall we enjoyed the friendship of coming together, but weâre disappointed in management .â- Nice place
This home met the requirements for a short weekend trip. We would have loved to see the outside be as well kept as the inside. It rained the entire first day we were there and it made it hard to get from the driveway to the house. Overall, if we could, we would stay there again!!
The interior is nice and has personality. We arrived with a turkey and tons of groceries specifically for our family Thanksgiving but the oven does not work and was not fixable for our stay. This was a huge inconvenience since cooking our meal together with my 80 year old mom was going to be the highlight and the reason we booked this trip. Disappointing and some compensation would have been greatly appreciated to show some empathy, but there was nothing offered. :(
Pros: The beds were comfortable, the property was spacious, the location was perfect. The house was clean and had everything we needed. There were a lot of nifty things about it, including all the stained glass. Check in and out were easy, although we never received a personal communication from the owners.
Cons: The neighbor's dog barked as late as 11 p.m. The glass in the back door was only held in with two tiny nails and we had to hold it whenever we opened the door. There's only one bathroom on the floor with the bedrooms and the house is old and creaky, so it's noisy to get up at night. One bedroom can only be accessed through another bedroom. There were mouse pills on the kitchen counter in the morning.
