This amazing home is located a block away from the world-renowned San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park. It features a completely updated two bedrooms one bathroom with a breath taking deck that overlooks a canyon. It's in a very exclusive area in Hillcrest, incredibly quite with amazing neighbors and a real sense of community. Our queen beds are very comfortable and our place is kept at a very high standard we love our guest and want to create long lasting happy memories. Modern kitchen with granite

The Neighborhood:
Hillcrest is a neighborhood in San Diego located northwest of Balboa Park. It is an accepting urban village with a small town feel. Hillcrest is known for its tolerance, diversity and locally-owned businesses including eclectic restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs and boutique shopping. It is also known for its salons and spas, medical offices, two major hospitals and the largest concentration of LGBTQ+ owned businesses in the city.

Balboa Park is a cultural oasis that includes 17 museums, gardens galore and the world-famous San Diego Zoo. At 1,200 acres, Balboa Park is one of North America’s most iconic urban parks and a must see on any visit to San Diego

Great cozy home convenient to all things San Diego. Short drive to Balboa Park, airport, and beaches aren’t too far. Comfortable beds. Kitchen stocked with the basics, plus snacks and drinks. Only issue I had was that there was no broom, vacuum, or mop so floors couldn’t be cleaned.

My Home Away From Home

I have to come to San Diego on business three times per year. This is the only place I will stay. I have tried hotels and other VRBO locations, but this one is the best. I now consider it my home away from home. It is an older building, but the owners have really done a great job making the place like new. It is very clean. The neighborhood is quiet. It is very convenient to downtown San Diego and the airport. The rental has an assigned parking place which is a huge convenience. The owners are very responsive. This rental is as close to perfect as any I place I have ever stayed.

Home Away From Home

I have to come San Diego on business nine weeks out of the year. This is the only place I will stay. It is perfect for my needs. The property is clean and well cared for. The hosts are very responsive if there is a problem. It is a ten minute commute to my office in downtown San Diego. It is close to Balboa Park which is a great place to go for walks after work. It also has an assigned parking space. It's nice to know when you get home that you do not have to hunt for a place to park.

Home Away From Home

I come to San Diego three times a year for work. My office is in downtown San Diego. When I come to San Diego this is the only place I want to stay. It is clean and comfortable and has everything I need. It is a 10 minute commute to my office. The neighborhood is quiet. It has a large assigned parking space which is very convenient. The hosts are extremely helpful and responsive. I would highly recommend this location.

Unit was clean, super convenient location and having the parking space was wonderful. Love that we could walk to Balboa Park. Easy access to San Diego’s sights. Overall comfortable space. Two minor bits to be aware of as renters - one that the large TV in the king bedroom makes it difficult to get into the bed. Perhaps a smaller TV? The pull out couch was not very comfortable - but how many pull outs really are??

Location, location, location!

Our vacation was centered around going to Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo so this property was perfect for our active family of 6 to walk to and from each day. It was clean and the owner was super quick to respond when we showed up and didn't quite have the access code. The picnic table overlooking the greenspace was nice to sit at and have a coffee in the morning before going out and adventuring. While the listing says it sleeps 6, it did not for us. I have 2 adult sons over 6' tall and 2 smaller children and the 2 queen beds and twin sofa didn't quite work for us. We ended up having one of the smaller kids sleep on the floor. Other than that, would recommend for a party of 5 or less. Especially if your plans include going to Balboa Park and/or the zoo.

The property is great. It’s clean and well maintained. It is quiet. It has its own parking spot which is extremely convenient. It is close to downtown, the airport, and Balboa Park. I have to come to San Diego on business several times a year. This is my go to place to stay.

Great location - Quiet neighborhood and walking distance to the Zoo and Balboa Park. Space - small rooms and bathroom, but worked out fine for us because we were out a lot and only used the space to sleep and shower. Cozy apartment

I enjoyed our stay here. It was in a convenient location to all the places that we wanted to enjoy. The place was pretty spacious and very clean. They even provided snacks and drinks for free which was a nice surprise. The couch also pulls out to be about a double size bed. And one parking spot was provided even thiugh there is plenty of street parking. I would definitely stay here again if I visit San Diego in the future.
