This was the best stay in a two month home remodel of the six hotels for short term stays. First, the staff was so nice and non-corporate sounding. Wow, real people who were friendly. Who knew this might be a positive experience for travelers? I was traveling with my dog and they had set aside a small doggy space to so a little roaming and take care of business. I was so impressed with the interior with pavers, little garages for parking and great flowers and trees. Off of Lombard? What a treat. Also, just around the corner is the Palace of Fine Arts, perfect for pictures and dog walking, close to the beach and lots of restaurants and morning coffee places. I live in San Francisco and appreciate the old school charm and character of a home run by the same family since 1948. Definitely a highlight stay for me and my dog Ollie!

Loved the ambiance of this hotel. Spacious rooms and loved the full kitchen. Only thing I would do different is ask for a courtyard room as the rooms on Lombard are very noisy. Super friendly staff that know the history of the property. Clean and well furnished.

It was well managed and clean beautiful flowers all around felt like you were in it in an Italian Villa very well kept secret. I feel spoiled after staying there I don't want to say anywhere else in San Francisco.

We reserved a courtyard room at higher price for this "pets friendly" motel. When we got there, only the street side rooms are pets friendly. No refund and an incredibly loud room.

This is our go to hotel when in San Francisco. Clean, beautiful grounds, friendly staff, spacious rooms, and close to great dining and public transportation. The bedding could use a refresh. Other than that perfect!
