“Deer Dancer” is a luxury four-season vacation home that offers everything to make your stay a memorable one: A relaxed, upscale modern design, in-town location on a hillside just behind Ft. Marcy Park, splendid 360 degree views, dramatic sunsets, serene privacy, and an abundance of natural beauty. Overlooking downtown Santa Fe with a unique wildlife green space on three sides it is only a leisurely 10 minute walk to the historic Plaza.

This multi-level 2 (3) bedroom / 2 bath villa lacks nothing. It offers luxurious simplicity, and a contemporary clutter-free environment with room to spread out. Recently remodeled by the Architect/Artist Owner, an insightful sensitivity has gone into every detail.

From almost every room in the house there are breathtaking views of Santa Fe and the surrounding mountains. In the evening experience amazing sunsets and the twinkling lights of Santa Fe.

Upon entering, the spacious living area with its expansive picture windows will welcome you. Then through these windows a second living area comes alive. This outdoor “room” is protected from the elements by a full portal and has comfortable built-in seating, a dining table, a grill, and a coffee table with a natural gas fire pit….perfect for entertaining or just admiring the views. Stroll through the private walled garden or head up the circular staircase to a rooftop deck above for spectacular 360-degree views and additional seating.

In the living room gather around the Kiva gas fireplace and the large screen “Smart” HDTV, hidden in a cabinet. With the touch of a button it raises upwards.

The fully equipped gourmet kitchen features an induction stove, silent dishwasher, wine cooler and picture windows. There is a formal dining area for eight, but everybody’s favorite entertainment/eating spot is the large bar area with its generously sized oak top.

On the same level the guest suite is comprised of three rooms: A queen bedroom with a private covered patio. The second room is an office, complete with built-in desk, OR a queen size Murphy bed can be lowered for additional guests. In between is a shared bathroom with a large shower (no tub). This guest suite area can be closed off from the main living area providing privacy.

Up half a flight of stairs, the very private master suite is said to have “the best view in Santa Fe right from your king size bed”. A romantic fireplace, “Smart” HDTV, and a private room off the master (great for reading/napping/working) with views of the ski mountain make this a very special room. There is also another desk where you can set up your computer, making a another work space. The suite includes a lovely bathroom with double sinks, a walk-in shower, and large soaking tub (big enough for two).

The attention given to architectural detail and ease of living, the convenience of its location, the abundance of natural beauty surrounding it, and its serene privacy make this one of the outstanding rental properties in Santa Fe.
This is a home you won’t soon forget. Stay a while, become a local. It will be worth it.
