Staff was friendly. Room was big and clean. To me, the bed felt uncomfortable because I could feel the springs. Pillows were flat. For the price I paid it was fine for 1 night. It was very clean, ill give them that.

The room was clean but quite dingy. It appeared they had invested a lot in the decor of the lobby but not in the rooms. Some of the furniture in ours was very outdated but a few pieces were newer. And the shower stall looked like it was clean but stained or just had a lot of build up. Overall, we were fine to be there, but happy we didn’t pay any more than we did for our room.

The room had bed bugs! This is beyond unacceptable. The shower/tub faucet did not work properly, I have a video of this. The water temperature was not very warm which is unacceptable. The breakfast was very disappointing and lacked variety and quality. The coffee machine was not working upon check in. The room refrigerator was turned off so once it opened it had a bad smell. The room was old and not kept. The box of tissues was ripped, photos were taken of this as well. This was beyond awful. Will never stay here and will never recommend. Management needs to make this right.

***HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND.*** We have stayed here in the past with no issues, but this last visit was a complete disaster. We booked a last-minute stay in Springfield and immediately regretted it. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff was rude, unfriendly, and downright hateful. When we entered our room, we were hit with a disgusting odor. The curtains were torn, the shower was clearly not cleaned, and the pillows on the bed had visible yellow stains. The room was absolutely unacceptable. My husband went straight back to the front desk to request a refund. We checked out and left within an hour and will never return. The following day, Expedia instructed me to contact Greenstay (which might as well be called “sh*tstay”). When speaking with the manager, Nancy, she accused us of sleeping in the bed, using the toilet, and using the sink, therefore claiming we were not eligible for a refund. This was completely false, as we didn’t even stay the night. I also told her that if this is her idea of “clean,” then her standards are extremely concerning. When I asked if she personally checks beds for cleanliness when she checks into a room, she flat-out said no. After telling me she would “check with her manager,” she finally called back about an hour later and agreed to refund us. The entire experience, from the staff to the room condition to the customer service was awful. Save yourself the trouble and stay at the Holiday Inn.

The woman at the front desk was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. She didn’t acknowledge us when we came in. I had to initiate the interaction, which was very unpleasant. No smile, no courtesy, I could hardly hear what she said. She also seemed to have some kind of judgment towards us for having booked through a “third party.” She used as little words as possible and seemed very inconvenienced that we had arrived.
