Petit hÎtel sans réception, les clés sont placées dans une boßte. Odeur de moisissure dans le couloir. 2 serviettes pour 4 personnes. Pas de papier toilette pour remplacer le rouleau presque vide à notre arrivée mais surtout literie à changer. Bien top cher pour la localisation et les équipements .

Got a very nice email from someone who had take an extra steps to connect with me, good check-in instructions. When we got there, we found an open outside door with nobody in sight. No front desk, closed restaurant. Lockbox was placed so high that if my husband weren't with me I would not have been able to access it. Place generally had a deserted feel. It needed quite a bit of fixing up, cracked plaster, banged up old wooden furniture. The room was clean but didn't have outlets accessible to both sides of the bed , and only one bedside lamp. Two small hand towels for shower. Thermostat to control AC unit didn't work because it needed a new battery. AC unit did work manually, though, which was good because the window didn't open. Generally the feeling was that it was run down. But the price was appropriate!

The Grafton Common area was really sweet
 We enjoyed walking around and visiting the antique shop around the corner. The checkin was easy
 when we found that our key wasn’t where they said it would be, we call the number provided and they quickly rectified the situation. The hotel is needs a lot of love. everything is worn down. the entrance way has steel restaurant shelves cluttering the area. the elevator smells wet, the ceiling in the room is stained with water leaks, the wood work is dirty and chipped, the bathroom has mold growing on the ceiling and the finish on vanity and mirror are peeling off. It was inexpensive for a reason.

NEVER Again!!

In the past, I’ve chosen property due to its location and an adequate night’s stay. The Inn is rundown, has no staff and a “HANDS OFF” management. My recent stay was my LAST one!!! My rm (#6) bathroom had NOT been cleaned AND old shower slider door broken - fell due to being.completely off the track. An extremely unsafe situation! After reporting my concerns to manager, it took over 24hrs for a response which is totally unacceptable!!! This place needs NEW owners who are invested in updating as well as operating this Historic Inn.

Unatended Air B&B, Mold!

The key for my room was not there. The drain didnt work in the bathroom sink. It was fixed for me same night but after 9:30pm! The windows werent even weather stripped and the window A/C wasnt even futted correctly into the window and the room was actually open to the outside in the gaps. Traffic on the street below sounded like it was driving through the room. The room faced the town common, which was a very pretty view but it was so noisy, and the church bells on the hour were so loud. There was dripping water inside the room from condensation on the A/C. When that was found, mold was also found in the carpet at the baseboard where the water was dripping and at that point mold was also found all over the A/C unit. It was inside the vents, outside the vents and on the unit itself. There was a very ild fireplace wich made the room rustic, but it was not functional. The bed was very comfortable and i slept well until I started having allergy symptoms due to mold.

room was under renovation. It is rustic and has older furniture. The bathroom needs alot of updates. The vanity faucet leaks bad, the sliding door for the shower does not slide open. The lady guest had to exit the shower behind the toilet, which is a huge safety issue. The toilet seat needs replacing.

This is a very interesting place to stay. The inn was built in 1805, according to Wikipedia. There are seven rooms on the third floor. The second floor is vacant, and the only thing on the first floor is a barbershop. That was convenient, I booked a needed shave with Erica down there. It’s a separate business, but I was pleased with the service, and Erica was very friendly. I did not see any hotel staff, the only interaction was thorough check-in instructions via text when I booked. There is coffee available in the hallway. The grill has been shut down for two years, from what I gather. I chose to get iced coffee from the Uncommon Cow, a little over minute walk to the north. They have excellent iced coffee, and also had breakfast sandwiches and baked goods ready to go, which I did not try. Overall, wouldn’t here again. I wouldn’t book a romantic getaway.

Disgrace

Arrived mid afternoon and front door, and side door, were locked. Back door was open but the place was in the middle of being redone. It was a construction site. No one was around. Walked upstairs to find one floor that seemed like it may have been open. Approx 10 rooms but I had never received any instructions for my arrival so we had no idea what to do. Called the number the site had posted, and it was out of service. Found a note with a name and number to contact and it was also out of service. While searching for humans, another couple arrived and were doing the same. They also booked on hotels. Whenever renovations are complete, it may be ok, but now it is a bad joke. From no employees, open construction site, and fire extinguishers that were outdated by 3 years ! It’s not only a disgrace it was listed for use, it was also a fire hazard and should be condemned. In the middle of fighting to get my money back. I did get a welcome check in text with instructions BUT at 5:30pm ! Totally messed up our plans and on a Saturday of graduation weekend, scrambling to find a place last minute was not only difficult, it was very expensive and totally out of our way. I have never experienced anything like what we did and hope never will again. Hotels should be ashamed to even have this hotel posted !

We needed a quick room and the price was attractive. I appreciated the text from the property for check in. Easy to get the room key. The stairs and hallway were musty and dated. The room was a clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable, Had to open the windows because very hot on the top floor. The streets were loud and noisy which was kind of surprise. I knew the area but it appeared more desolate than I remembered. Of note the outer door is open and the rooms are accessible to anyone. All of the keys are available in the one lock box. The property was as expected. There is no staff at the property.

There is no front desk. There is no security. The exterior door that leads to the rooms is open all night and there is nothing to stop an intruder other than the door to the room itself. No one picks up the phone at the published phone number. If you have a problem, there's no one to speak to. Stay away from this place.

We arrived before the 10pm time and no one was on property which I heard was common. Also the building is basically a back door that has an elevator that goes up. The downstairs is all under construction vs. abandoned. Another group did not get the same text we had about how to get a key and couldn’t contact management about how to get a key. We went up to our room, it was very stuffy so difficulty breathing. After an hour we left because I couldn’t breathe and the front door doesn’t lock so anyone can come off the street and there were actually 4 kids running in the hall looking for a bathroom. Anyone can enter from outside at any time. Also if you know the trick to get a key
 anyone can get any key at any time. I texted them to say we were leaving and why. Haven’t received a response. I would NOT recommend. It seems like they are trying to be something that could be quirky, cool if more was done but comes off as unsettling and safety also a concern.

I don’t usually do negative reviews but with this property having a 7.8 out of 10 rating I really feel I need to do this. First, when we arrived it was 78° outside 84 in our room and the air-conditioning did not work then I discovered That we only had one towel and one hand towel. I texted whoever was in charge asking for more towels and they didn’t even respond there was black mold in the shower stall ceiling. The place was generally not clean and beat up. It is on a busy street that was noisy, has train tracks right outside, and a church across the street that rings its bell every hour. They had a coffee station, but no creamer.
