The location was good. We were able to walk into town. There wasn't a view. Windows looked out to a car park and other apartments. The mountains look close, but we had no view of them. There are no balconies in one-bedroom apartments. We had a spa apartment but couldn't get enough hot water to keep the spa warm. Staff were helpful to try and fix any issues we had.

The staff was really helpful, we had a late check in and we had excellent communication with Joy at the front desk. The room was really clean and comfortable. There was a washer and dryer in the room. Everything we needed was available. Some ceiling tiles in the hallway that were missing and the games room had missing game parts and dead batteries for video games, so we didn’t use the room. The area outside is beautiful! We went for many walks and explored. Canmore is a great place to visit and this hotel was an excellent place to stay.

Meh! Average 3 star at best. Nothing exemplary about the stay Brand new fleet of electric bikes foiling up the lobby if you want to rent a bike from a hotel instead of a bike rental shop. What business are they actually in I wonder.

Hotel Ad on Expedia falsely advertised availability of a "top rated pool" when in fact if you stay with Sunset you are not permitted to use the pool. This is mentioned in the middle of the booking confirmation but you don't find out until after you book and if you happen to read all of the booking confirmation email. Shame on me I guess. Hotel staff just blamed Expedia or others instead of taking accountability for how their hotel is advertised.
