Arcadia - Carmel House - Classic Carmel
This comfortable, single-story home on a corner lot in Carmel is the perfect spot from which to explore the many splendors of the Monterey Peninsula. Between the living room (with a fireplace for chilly nights) and the cozy denâwith a leather sofa and a large TVâyouâll have plenty of room to spread out here. There are two dining areas, one off the living room and a breakfast table beside the large kitchen, which features fresh white cabinetry, a stainless side-by-side refrigerator, a five-burner gas range, and built-in oven/microwave. Thereâs a twin bedroom (with bunk beds), a powder room, and a laundry room off the kitchen. On the opposite side of the home, youâll find a Queen bedroom facing a hallway bath with a tub/shower. Further down the hall is the master suite: Queen-sized poster bed, fireplace, and a large TV in an antique armoire. The en suite bath has an oval soaking tub, a walk-in shower and dual sinks. Outdoors, you can while away the hours in the porch swing or dine al fresco in the large backyard under the oaks. And when you're ready to explore, Carmel's storybook downtown is just a short walk away. Two-car garage with driveway and street parking.
The house was perfect for our needs. The two bedrooms were very comfortable. I donât think an adult or teenager would be comfortable in the third bedroom. Backyard was very pleasant for adults to relax and eat. Not good for kids to play. The surrounding trees were beautiful, and the house very sheltered from neighbors.
Wonderful location, very clean and we had a nice time!We enjoyed the cut glass wine glasses, little soaps and toiletries! We contacted them for a few little maintenance items like a TV remote not working..and a few others at checkout, and imagine they will be fixed before other guests arrive! Thanks!
The property was about a mile from town and a bit further to the beach. Since parking downtown is a big problem, it was good we could walk to town. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood.
There were 3 of us ladies celebrating a special birthday for one of us. We enjoyed our stay at Arcadia. The house has 3 bedrooms so we each got our own room. The living area was very large and the kitchen had all the needed amentities. I
The home was clean, well stocked with essentials, and close to all of our activities (Monterey Bay Aquarium, Whale watching, and Point Lobos State Park). We will definitely be returning!
The outside patio was really dirty hard to use. We had to clean it before we could use it.
Inside was lacking a lot of things that you would need when you go into a vacation home it was just a little disappointing.
Quaint cottage whose exterior does not give away the spacious interiors. While the furniture and bathrooms have a lovely old world charm, all the appliances are updated and like new. We did not lack anything.
Quiet neighborhood, short drive to the Carmel downtown, the 17 mile drive, Lobos Park.
Just loved the laid back feel of Carmel and Cannery Row.
Would come back if we can!
This is Carmel in the woods, beautiful neighborhood, woodsy, quiet.
Property had a great yard front and back.
Inside the kitchen and bedrooms were very nice.
Just a small matter was the furniture in the living room and sitting room.
a little dated. Couch had a cover over it. When you sat down you were around 12" off the floor. We are senior citizens and had a hard time getting up. My wife could not sit on it.
There is this big table in the middle of the room. I guess it is a coffee table. I ran into it and hit both my ankles and fell down. Nothing serious. Grandkids also got hit with the corners.
An upgrade in this would make this a gem of a house.
Still, well worth the time and effort to stay there.
Property is very clean. Location is not walking distance from downtown Carmel but a nice quiet neighborhood. Kitchen could use more equipment. It was a good value for the price.
