the room was okay except a plastic grocery bag that was covering the fire alarm, and no microwave or freezer. the “heated” pool was too cold for me or my son to go in, maybe because the door from the pool to outside was open our entire stay.

We called to make sure pool was open only reason for our stay when we arrived no heat in main room of hotel the pool room and pool were ice cold. Our hotel room was only 50 degrees. The heater vent and filters were absolutely disgusting and caked with dust

Began with not being able to get into our room, because the door didn't work then we switched rooms to broken bathroom mirror and that door didn't work as well. When we cam back he had to use tools to open our door and was going to move us to another room at 12 in the morning. I had to prop a chair under the door because I was fearful someone was going to break in after thr gentleman using tools on the door.

The room was not what we expected. It feels like the room was neglected, the bathroom wall needs to be fixed the right way not just patches, the head board on the bed was absolutely disgusting a lot of stains.

What a dump!

The worst room I have ever stayed in. It should be a crime with how deceiving the pictures are. The room looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the new owners took over. Hotels.com should disassociate themselves with this establishment. It will be shut down by the board of health.

Made the regrettable mistake of not reading the reviews on this property before booking. On review says “If you’re looking for a place that combines the charm of a haunted house with the ambiance of a truck stop bathroom, look no further than the Downtown Dover Inn”. Sadly, this description doesn’t even begin to capture the full extent of its deplorable conditions. From the overwhelming stench and lack of cleanliness in the room to serious safety concerns throughout the property … this place should be torn down! Also, very disappointed in Expedia for continuing to associate with and promote this property. It’s unacceptable that a platform I have trusted would list accommodations in such unacceptable condition.
