Our TV never worked. We repeatedly asked the front desk staff and were told that maintenance would stop by. They never did. Also, we asked several times for help with the washer/dryer combo unit but inquiry was met with confusion as to the "brand" by hotel staff. Room was ok, but not worth the price.

Hotel is perfectly located in the center of the Royal Mile. Room was beautiful and nicely appointed. The best part of staying here was the caring and friendly staff - from the front desk to the restaurant and bar everyone went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

Perfect place to stay right on the Royal Mile. Amazing staff, incredible rooms and great service. Rooms are clean, spacious and modern and though the layout takes just a bit to get used to - I loved the historic feel of the hotel. Absolutely would stay here again.

Looks nice, but is a struggle

For a five star hotel, some glaring issues made it hard to enjoy our stay. Our room was located in a maze of hallways that was very hard to navigate, there isn’t a single drawer or shelf to put clothes on, the thermostat is very unintuitive and when we tried to turn the temperature down, it went further up, the bathroom door is a barn door that doesn’t seal, and some features like the towel heater weren’t working. There’s also no phone in the room to call the front desk, which is very strange. After calling through whatsapp, the staff came to help us with the thermostat, which was nice, but the inconveniences after a long day of walking the city were frustrating. On our last night, we didn't have any hot water to take showers. Not what I expected from this type of hotel.

The location was perfect, the staff incredibly helpful and friendly, the accommodations clean and comfortable, our VIP benefit excellent and the restaurant food delicious.
