Seaside Paradise
This beach cottage located at the second level, is one of a kind. Please contact vrbo or owner for dates you are interested in if you donât see availability. This cottage is so calming to just sit there and watch the ocean which is only steps away. Turtles frequently swim nearby for your enjoyment.
The main building is under construction, so price is reduced for this season. Can be noisy Mon to Fry from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, No construction weekends or holidays.
All amenities are there in the cottage and on the property. The only thing you will need are groceries which can be bought on the way or 2 miles past the cottage at Tamuras Market. This was a perfect spot for our family of 4, with 2 teens. Waking up each moring to that incredible view of the ocean & sunrise was amazing, as was having the beach right out our door, and swimming/snorkling with sea turtles! The ocean breezes and fans worked well to keep us comfortable despite no AC (even for us Northwest Washington people!). We loved the location in a quiet peaceful part of the island that still had close access to amenities and the beautiful north shore. Even though it's remote, it was a short walk from a few food trucks, and a little minimart with a Hawaiian kitchen, as well as a quick drive to the grocery store and other options. The only reason we knocked a star off of "cleanliness" was because there was what looked like black mold above one of the kids beds. Other than that it was clean and well stocked (though a drying rack would have been nice, since there's nowhere to hang out swimsuits and beach towels to dry). We loved our stay, it felt like a good value for what we paid, and we definitely want to come back! We are headed to the other side of the island next, but wish we had just booked this place for our whole trip!
This place has no AC and I could not have been happier. Being from Florida we were a little concerned about staying here in June without AC but it was absolutely amazing. We slept to the sounds of waves crashing and salty breezes blowing through the unit. It did get a little warm one day so we walked a few feet to the cool Pacific Ocean!! The building and exterior is dated and there was a lot of construction going on during the week. Still it was the best stay we had on the island and would definitely recommend it.
We had an amazing time! We could not believe how close we were to the beach/ocean. We could feel/see/hear the ocean at all times in the VRBO. It was so cool to go to sleep to the sounds of waves and wake up to a sunrise each morning. Kitchen is very well stock, decor is refreshing and calm. Mahalo
Oahu Secret!Every night, several sea turtles climb up on the beach to rest. This is one of the only places on earth where see turtles will enjoy dryland outside of spawning season. As sea turtles are blinded by white light flash photography use red filtered lights to see where youâre going and give them plenty of space if you tour the beach at night or very early in the morning. Absolutely do not touch them and donât blind them with white lights or flash cameras Enjoy!
Einfach nur super schön. Das Haus liegt direkt am Strand. Blick aufs Meer.
Iur stay at Javqui and Terrie's property was fantastic. Calm, relaxing beaches, good snorkeling and a lovely 1960s era bungalow vibe. Exactly what my spouse and i were looking for from our babymoon. If you want more modern amenities like AaC you may want to look elsewhere, but if you want to relax with a great place and great hosts this is definitely the place to come. We will absolutely be coming back in the future with friends and family.
This is our top vacation destination. Itâs our fifth stay. We love being able to cook our own meals in the well-furnished kitchen and then literally step outside to the beach. We could hear the waves from our bedroom. Sunrises are stunning. We saw sea turtles and seals on the beach. Host is very responsive and helpful. Snorkel gear is provided, and thereâs often some nonperishable food in the pantry (coffee, oil, sugar, salt/pepper). We canât wait to return.
I had an encounter with a lady, who identified herself as the owner of the unit I booked. Her name was Teri. She was upset because my sister was smoking in a non smoking area (on the grass near the ocean wall) and was seen spitting on the grass.Teri very rudely said "she better not be smoking in my house" I assured her that she wasn't smoking inside, that is why she is smoking outside. She asked for my name (I think it was because I am local and she don't recall having a polynesian name on the application.) after telling her my name, she said something like, "if I find out she's been smoking upstairs... " I interupted her and assured her my sister did not and will not smoke in her place. I am a non-smoker, I wouldn't allow her to. She then asked "When are you leaving?" I wonder if she treats all her guests with such rudeness? This interaction was not necessary as the security guard already handled the situation prior to her intervening. There are no "No Smoking" signs posted anywhere and my sister was more than 20 feet away from the building. The property is beautiful, the view from our window of the ocean and the sunrise was so nice. You can hear the sound of the waves crashing on the shore at night. Its unfortunate that all that beauty can be cancelled by peoples ugly attitudes. I didn't want to stay after that encounter, but I already paid for it. My sister felt bad as it was unintentional. She is 65y/o walks with a cane and has mental illness.I Felt discriminated against.
We wanted somewhere to stay on the north shore that would feel more local and be near the ocean. This little condo delivered. When they say ocean views they arenât kidding. The beach was 20 feet from the windows! The unit was clean, provided all necessary amenities, comfortable beds, embraced the beach vibe, and what a view! My boys loved that there were twin needs so they didnât have to share a bed. Super happy with the stay, would definitely book again.
Terrie is such a warm and welcoming host, treats you like Ohana. Excellent location and very nicely supplied with everything you need. Just bring your Aloha spirit and you will enjoy immensely. Walk out the door and in just a few steps and youâre standing in the sand. The views, including the sunrises are incredible. Mellow waves, swimming is easy. Reserved parking, security guards 24/7, laundry rooms, etc. We will be back for sure, mahalo
Great location, nice beach, very clean comfortable room. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5: Cable TV did not work, (ROKU worked, so not a huge deal) and construction on the large hive hotel was a bit annoying. Would stay here again after construction is complete, though.
Loved being right on the beach!! Quiet, relaxing and felt like our own private beach at times. Lots of sea turtles!! Great location and the cottage was clean.
