The Hotel sits along the flight routes, so the sound of airplanes taking off from the IAH airport is audible but was not overbearing. There was a noticeable odor inside the room when we first entered, perhaps cleaning detergent related, but otherwise the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast offerings were organic milk, fruity yogurts, muffins, fresh fruits amd cereal. Enough to get you going. The staff was courteous and helpful and the shuttle departing from the hotel left for the airport every 30 min. Finding their stop at IAH upon arrival was a bit challenging as it was not marked at all but fortunately, the hotel staff were accessible by phone and provided verbal guidance. In summary, I would consoder staying in this hotel again in the future.

1))) I called the hotel upon arrival to get better guidance for the shuttle's pick up spot. I was told to await it in the general area nearby a particular gate within my terminal of arrival. It was a bit confusing as there were numerous other shuttles, whether from hotels or other entities, picking up passengers in a broad span of space. It would have been a lot easier had there been an assigned spot for the shuttle. To avoid missing mine, I had to pace across a wide area as to visually scan for arriving shuttles. Furthermore, no specific time of pick up was specified, adding extra challenge to my lookout.. This strategy paid off, and I was able to intercept the shuttle before it took off. Returning to the airport was a lot easier as there was a sign up sheet for different time slots, 30 min apart and the driver picked us up at the time I requested. 2)))Our room was clean with manageable noise level even with planes taking off right above the hotel. There was a very pronouced smell of some sort of chemical in our room, which I attributed to a cleaner. I did not notice tobacco smell in the building. 3))) Breakfast options included apples, bananas, organic milk, sweet yogurt and muffins, to which I gladly give solid 4 stars.

Offer better breakfast. Hire more employees to take care of guest needs. Our tv did not work they didn’t send anyone to look at it and would not let us change rooms. They said they had to save rooms for people with vouchers. Then around 7 the desk person walked in our room and said she thought it was vacant because that is what the system showed. Then she took our remote because our tv didn’t work and they needed the remote.

The airport shuttle was non-existent. I emailed and phoned several times before our stay to arrange the free shuttle. There was no service from the airport, so it cost $40 by Uber, then a further $30 the following morning. Communication was absent. Check-in was dreadful : the two staff gave the impression that they were too busy to attend to us.
