Welcome to Topside! Step inside our mid-century family home and be transported to a bygone era of classic design and effortless sophistication. From the sleek lines of the architecture to the warm tones of the wood accents, every corner exudes an inviting charm that welcomes you with open arms.



Expansive Living Spaces:

Spread out and make yourself at home in our spacious living areas, where large windows frame picturesque views of the creek and flood the rooms with natural light. Relax in the comfortable seating of the living room, gather for family meals in the large dining room, or unwind with an after dinner drink or book in the cozy den—there's plenty of space for everyone to find their favorite spot. The kids will love the lower level bunk/game room!



Well-Appointed Bedrooms and Bathrooms:

Retreat to one of our well-appointed bedrooms (three king, one queen, and the twin bunk room), where plush beds and soft linens ensure a restful night's sleep. Wake up to the gentle sound of nature and the creek life arising (Bald Eagles, Osprey) and step into the ensuite bathrooms, complete with modern fixtures and luxurious amenities for your comfort and convenience. Two of the four main bedrooms are ensuite, and the primary has a double shower, heated floors, and soaking tub under a skylight for the most relaxing bathing experience. The twin/bunk room on the lower level does not have a door, but it is at the base of the stairs going to the lower level so affords some privacy.



Outdoor Oasis:

Step outside and discover your own private outdoor oasis, where endless opportunities for fun and relaxation await. Take a refreshing dip in the sparkling pool, soak up the sun on the spacious pool patio, or gather around on the stone terrace for cozy evenings under the stars. With a large waterfront dock at your disposal, you can also venture out onto the creek for kayaking, paddleboarding, or fishing (byo poles), or simply enjoying the tranquility of the water with your morning coffee or evening drink. Try catching some blue crabs with our two crab pots!



Family-Friendly Amenities:

Our vacation home is equipped with all the amenities you need for a memorable family vacation. From board games and books to outdoor toys and equipment, we've thought of everything to keep guests of all ages entertained and engaged throughout your stay. Note:

Don't forget to pack your water shoes as the shoreline has sharp oyster shells. Footwear is essential. And the dock may be used here and there by the owners to access boats. Say hi if you see them! There is currently no water or electricity at the dock.



Cameras: We have one active recording camera at the front door and two inactive, non recording cameras, one at the pool and one at the patio.

Half Bath: Please note that the half bath is closed during the winter months to prevent freezing, as it is not heated..

Outdoor Shower: The outdoor shower is also turned off during colder months for the same reason.

Guest Access:

Enjoy full access to the entire home and surrounding grounds during your stay. While the owner may occasionally utilize the dock from a neighboring property to take out their boat, rest assured it won't disrupt your experience. If you encounter them, feel free to say hello—they're friendly and welcoming!



The Neighborhood:

Irvington: Described as "Tiny but Tony", and "Manhattan meets Mayberry", this upscale yet low-key town has great restaurants, friendly people, and a wide array of community events. Experience small town living at its best: on the water.



Walk or bike to the iconic Tides Inn (Topside is owned by the founders' children), 5 minutes by car to the charming town of White Stone, 7 to Kilmarnock, the area's biggest town with an assortment of shops, restaurants, and community events. Getting around is a breeze here! Whether you prefer traveling by car, foot, bike, kayak, or paddleboard, you'll have plenty of options to explore and enjoy the area. We provide bikes, kayaks, and paddle boards!

The pool opens the first week of May, but just so you know—it isn’t heated.

This property is amazing. Our group of 9 visited for our summer family vacation and had a fantastic time. The pool and dock were so convenient for water sports and activities. We used several of the kayaks on the property and really enjoyed exploring the area and waterways. The views from the pool are beautiful! The bedrooms were comfortable and well-appointed. The common areas were also great for socializing—not to mention exquisitely decorated. Our group had a great time.

Amazing views and incredible decor

Topside is a one of a kind property. The mid century modern style combined with its perfect location make this rental a no brainer. The view of the sunrise and sunset is hard to beat. Super comfortable interior plus great kitchen and grill. Host is super responsive and proactive. You won’t go wrong here.
