Additional Notes
Pool maintenance occurs Monday and Thursday afternoons and takes about 20 minutes. Gardeners come Thursday afternoons.

Pets are welcome with prior approval. A maximum of 2 pets per stay. Pets must be house-trained, well-behaved, and kept off furniture and beds. Please clean up after your pets and do not leave them unattended.

A security camera is located above the garage and a Ring doorbell monitors the front for safety.

City of La Quinta ordinance: No amplified music outside. Please keep voices at a respectful level outdoors. Fines for violations may be substantial and guests will be held responsible.

Parking: Do not park in front of neighbors’ houses. Use the garage, driveway, or the front of the house. Please get approval if you have more than 3 cars.

This home was immaculately clean, well furnished, and surprisingly cool through our second week of an unseasonably hot, heat wave. The pool table, dartboard, pool and hot tub were all enjoyed. We contacted our host Skip, a handful of times throughout our stay and he always responded quickly, taking care of our needs. We like to hike/walk with the trails nearby, making this location convenient. We highly recommend the Bear Creek Trail and Cove Trailhead. Thank you Skip and Monica for our enjoyable stay!

This was an amazing stay. I cannot say enough about Skip and Monica. They added some nice extra touches that really made us feel extra welcome. The house was amazing. Anything that you may think about needing was already there. We were blown away by how well appointed the kitchen and bar areas were. The laundry was perfect, again, with whatever you may need. Beds / Bedrooms were very comfortable, and space a plenty. While the weather wasn't great, we were able to use the pool and spa. Getting in and out with a garage opener that was provided also made things extra easy. I can go on and on about how much we loved the place and location. I do need to say a work about Skip and Monica. They really take care of the place, but also were super when it came to communications. Skip watches his email even more than I do, with is virtually all the time. Repsonses were quick, but also the extra touch to reach out to see if we needed anything. The resturant recommendations and instructions were excellent.This was our first VRBO and I'm sure not our last. Skip and Monica and this home set a high bar for others in the future.

Great Location!

This house was amazing. We appreciated the little details, such as they labeled the light switches. The pool/spa heating was easy to use, compared to other properties I have stayed at in that area. I was there with my elderly mother and tween daughter. Grandma was able to hang out on the covered patio with the misters, while the family swam. My husband and I loved the short walk to Old Town La Quinta, as well as the close proximity to the bike trails.

Life in The Cove

My wife and I just spent a month at this lovely spot in La Quinta right in the cove. It was a perfect spot for us as we do a lot of hiking and many of the trails start within a couple of miles. The home itself was just as described and was walking distance to the Old Towne center. The owners provided use of the heated hot tub at no extra cost. I have never been a guest at a better stocked VRBO than this one; they had absolutely everything needed for our stay. The communication with the owner was quick and easy and very helpful. If you are interested in La Quinta, I would give this spot a serious look. Thanks so much to Skip and Monica and we hope to be guests again soon.

Turning 40 and a golf tournament

Spent a week in the Desert and enjoyed turning 40. Went hiking, golfing, and relaxing by the pool. The location was great, and we frequently walk into Old Town. The Farmer's Market was a gem. The house was well appointed and comfortable, and the hot tub heated up very fast. Cheer!

Peaceful for people and birds alike

We had a wonderful stay at Skip and Monica's place. The house was clean and very functional. Our 27 year old caique parrot, Chester, had a great time! We enjoyed walking to Old Town and relaxing by the pool. The only problem was our stay was too short. We will be back!

Desert fun

Excellent place...with minor caveats

This was a beautiful place. It is at a great location...it is within a short walking distance to the center of the La Quinta business area. The house was extremely clean and the hosts were completely cooperative. We loved the pool table that was part of the property! We also loved the multiple inflated pool floats and toys that were available. The Master bedroom was large and roomy with a similar roomy bathroom and plenty of closet space. The minor caveats to this place are few and are, of course, subjective...The pool is on the small side (the picture on the website makes it look larger than it is). The pool is like either a large spa or a personal sized pool with only enough room for 2 (maximum 3) floats. The two extra bedrooms feel small and our family members who used them felt cramped. The main room (which is a Great Room) combines a kitchen, dining room, bar, and TV viewing area all together. This not a problem if there are just two people...but anymore people make it a problem...people will be talking in the kitchen or dining room and others trying to watch TV, resulting in a very noisy environment where everyone is disturbed by the others.

Everything you need and more!

Hands down the best vacation rental property I have ever stayed in. I can’t think of one thing that I needed and didn’t even expect they would have but I thought what the heck let me check before I run to the store
.you name it they had it. The hosts were so sweet, so responsive and so resourceful. 100% will be coming back again. I needed a quite relaxing get away with no worries and this was the perfect place.

Perfect Location

This is our first time staying in La Quinta. Although we come to the desert annually, we have always stayed in the Palm Desert or Rancho Mirage area. Changing regulations in those areas pushed us to look more eastward and I now think La Quinta has those other cities beat. This home’s kitchen is very well equipped if you are a cook. Tons of spices and plenty of pots, pans, etc. The pool table and dartboard were a bonus on the one bad weather day we had. This home is a quick 5-10 minute walk to everything you want to do in La Quinta. There is a great park close by as well as hiking trails. 4 bikes with helmets are in the garage for your use as well as a basketball and pool toys. As I said before, very well stocked home!
