This was an amazing experience. The hotel was beautiful and had so much charm. The staff was wonderful. I enjoyed all of the lovely amenities including the breakfast, welcome wine and cheese, and Fado dinner (you do pay extra for this).

As a result of a flight cancellation we had a one night stay here. We received a very good welcome and were shown to a very splendid looking room. The bed itself was very comfortable but the pillows were artificial and not as comfortable (adequate for purpose but not great). The en-suite shower room was compact, especially when compared to the very spacious bedroom. Our breakfast experience was haphazard: it was spread across several rooms and there wasn’t anyone to greet us and explain the setup and where to find the various food items that were on offer. Once we had established what was available and where we enjoyed a very good breakfast.

A Fantastic Stay in the Heart of Lisbon! I recently stayed at in Palácio das Especiarias in Lisbon, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore Lisbon’s charming streets, historic sites, and vibrant nightlife. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated, offering both comfort and style. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a long day of sightseeing. I also appreciated the thoughtful amenities, from high-quality toiletries to the complimentary coffee and tea. The staff truly made the stay special. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and eager to help with recommendations for restaurants and attractions. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made me feel right at home. Breakfast was another highlight—delicious, fresh, and with plenty of options to suit all tastes. Whether enjoying a morning espresso or indulging in traditional Portuguese pastries, it was the perfect way to start the day. Overall, I highly recommend Palácio das Especiarias to anyone visiting Lisbon. It’s a wonderful blend of comfort, convenience, and top-notch service. I will definitely be returning on my next trip!

I can’t even begin to describe this hotel and our experience as guests. As you read the other reviews, you will hear about the service. It felt like we were honored guests in someone’s manor. There was a wonderful balance between professionalism and warmth that made our first experience in Portugal especially memorable. We can’t name everyone by name — this post would be too long. If you want to experience history, convenient location and luxury, coming here is a MUST. I visit here for my birthday in October and I felt like I was in another world. My absolute favorite experience here was the massage and groto! 5stars!! Everyone was friendly and seriously this place is exceptional. You want to feel like royalty and the convenience of all the shops in walking distance was perfect!! I can’t get over how lovely this palace is!! Breakfast was great and so was the complimentary wine. The decor is well maintained and beautiful. I loved having two balconies! I cannot wait to comeback!!
