Negative: Welcoming atmosphere was just at the very minimum. Same for the hotel opposite where breakfast is taking place. The washing basin was stucked and there was a terrible smell of wastewater in the bathroom. Positive: Two large beds in the double room + possibility to leave the luggage for the whole day after checkout.

Quick vacation

Pros: It is in a quiet neighborhood, with several sister hotels built in a horseshoe around a pleasant park with ancient trees and well kept flower beds. I
Cons: The in-room phone could only be used for room service calls. Make sure you have international calling cell service before leaving the US!
Location: With the Paddington Station it was easy to get anywhere. Hyde Park is just a few blocks from the Hotel. Convenient location for sightseeing.
We found that the staff at the Rose Park Hotel was outstanding, friendly, and easily provided answers to all our questions. Don't expect a grand hotel setting. Room was small, but perfect for our needs, the Hotel is located in Talbot Square, about three easy walking blocks from the Paddington Station, with great, inexpensive restaurants between the hotel and station. Purchasing an Underground Pass would have saved us some travel change, but we used the underground, Uber, taxi, three-wheeled rickshaw, bus and train while there, visiting Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral, Paris, and local London sites.
