This is a good Basic Hotel that's Centrally Located in San Jose Del Cabo close to everything Shopping, Restaurants etc.I usually stay at All Inclusive Resorts but I did enjoy my Week there.If you want a Hotel that's cozy & authentic type Mexican one on a Lower Price Range/ Budget then i'd maybe check this out, Àlistair B..

Poor quality & value
Check in young non-English speaking woman tried to give us a bill for.room, but only when we showed our receipt did she finally speak a little English saying room paid. Any worker in hotel management should know how to yse Google translate. Beds only fair. Cockroaches. Kitchen had no pots, coffee mugs, only 1 spoon & fork laying in drawer. Bathroom window broken. VERY outdated!

We’re from the USA and have a home about one hours drive north from San Jose del Cabo. We like staying at the Santa Maria when we want to have a few days in town without the drive home. The staff is friendly, rooms are large and clean. The hotel is basic by American standards when traveling to a resort area, but the trade off for economy and comfort are equal. The Secritos restaurant is great for breakfast, which the room rate oftenincludes, making the value even greater.

Room is dated, curtains are dirty / permit light through, shower curtain smelled bad, no lamp or soft lighting at bed. For the price you pay, rooms need an update. Positives: very friendly staff, good location (beach walking distance and supermarket across the street), warm pool, nice breakfast, clean linens, and bed was very comfortable.
