My second stay in 2 years, and Praktik Metropol continues to be a good choice given the price and location. Being on Gran Via makes it really easy to find shops and restaurants nearby, as well as being easy accessible via public transport. Most tourist sites are within walking distance as well. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful, and are available 24 hours a day. Only minor quibbles are that there are no coffee/tea facilities in-room, nor is here a minibar fridge.

Overpriced for an I terior room with view of walls and pipes. Phone did not work. No explanation and not even a welcome sheet of paper explaining how the phone works ie what number to dial for front desk or to dial out. Small room with old worn dirty unappealing furniture.

Excellent location, value-for-money . Innovative use of space that makes for a very comfortable stay. We could even make our way conveniently ( 7-min walk) to take the metro from SOL to the RENFE train station with our luggage from this accommodation.

It was alright

My overall stay was nice, the roof top is really cool the policy on towels is great (only wash what you need)... on the other end I was disappointed by the lack of sunlight in the rooms on the court and the double bed was just two singles moving around... not great for sleeping.

Great hotel, great position

Excellent hotel well positioned in the centre of Madrid. Walking distance to all the major attractions. We had a superior room which was a good size with a comfortable bed. Loved the pegs all round the walls - really handy for coats, scarves, bags etc. Don't know why more hotels don't do this. Good breakfast available at cafe next door.
