Stay Away! Terrible Room Conditions

We had a horrible experience at this place. Room conditions were extremely poor. I complained to the hotel staff but they wouldn't do anything about it. I also contacted Red Roof office but they weren;t help either.

Front desk inconsistency

.y experience went south when i asked to extend my stay for a day. Inconsistency in front desk treatment btw night and day shift. Night shift was smooth sailing.

The staff were very nice and polite. The property was clean and functional. The area around the property is very difficult to safely navigate by walking. The staff failed to inform us that they were using another hotel’s shuttle. We spent 1.5 hours waiting for a shuttle that would never appear and had to call twice before they told us to look for the other shuttle.

Waited for airport free shuttle… never arrived. Filthy carpets. Paid $28 for shuttle to the port. It was 45 minutes late. Watered down coffee, waffle batter, orang juice etc.

For for the expectations.

You get what you pay for. You don't pay much, you don't get much. Hallway floors are stained, hotel is not tip top shape. Airport shuttle is hit or miss. But, rooms were clean enough and beds comfortable. Includes an added fee cruise shuttle which is a bonus.

The non existent transfer from the airport!

Waited over an hour for transfer to turn up, then gave up and paid $15 for a taxi! Supposed to be every 30mins, suggested we might call but did not provide telephone number! At check in had to ask time for vacating rooms and not provided with time of breakfast. Just made it at 8.45 a.m. for it to then close at 9.00 a.m.! Room,comfortable and spacious, good hot shower.

I stayed here one night before and another night after my cruise from Miami port. The service was good both nights, and the rooms were clean and spacious. There was a food cart that actually had good food, and I took a quick ride for a nearby pub the second night. Would note that they share the shuttle with other hotels so have to arrive in the lobby early. I took the first shuttle at 6am and there were only 3 seats available and not all made it on. Overall good stay for a 2-star hotel. :)
