I really had higher hopes for this hotel. I will say-the location was great which is why I gave a rating of 3 stars and not lower, but the hotel itself was very lackluster. We stayed in the king executive suite which is located upstairs in the main building. The bed was caving in the middle. The pillows were tiny and lumpy. Our tub was clogged and the bathroom was in the middle of the sitting room and the bedroom so no one could pass through while someone was in the bathroom. The floors, walls, beds, and everything was very very creaky-to the point where I could hear people coming and going all night. The decor was thoughtless and mismatched. The TVs were outdated and oddly placed to where they were difficult to see. The "breakfast" was a joke. Just sooooo many opportunities or improvement. Such a bummer because the potential is definitely there. I will say, however, our friends stayed in one of the queen cottages and they had a much better experience.

The hotel looked nice when we walked in but it smelled like a hospital and reeked of chemicals which should’ve been my first red flag. The staff was pleasant in manner but not very welcoming. There was another couple who seemed to have a great time though that we ran into a couple times so could just be us. The bed was hard and the room was creepy. There was no AC and we were told to open the windows but the windows didn’t have screens at all. I woke up with hives the next day and when I told the front desk they immediately dismissed me and didn’t show any care about the situation. My SO and I just wanted to continue checkout at that point and leave.

Homey and Great Location

Most places available in PG are historic buildings with tiny rooms and limited amenities. If you're okay with this, Centrella is a nice place to stay. Our queen room had an armoire so we could put some clothes away, but we still needed to utilize the two chairs and table to keep our stuff for our 4-night stay. The restroom is a nice size, but the toilet is smaller than average. Private parking is not always available, but street parking works out. There is a 2-hour limited parking on 17th street, which starts at 9 am, and we did see the parking police go around. The best part of breakfast is the yogurt parfait. The petite pastries and bagels are okay, but could be way better.

cute place if you like the historical value of it. if you like to walk it's close to downtown and lovers point beach. Only thing I didn't like was the bed was not comfortable enough for me. wish it would have had a mini fridge as well. Other than that, I highly recommend.

Our room was not very nice.. I’m surprised the amount of people rating it so high. They seemed to use the ruse of a Victorian hotel to justify the cracks in paints and overall terrible room quality.

The hotel was so lovely. We thought our room was quite cozy and cute. The bathroom and bed was clean and so were the floors. Service was great. Breakfast was simple but it can get you full. It would have been nice to have a mini fridge in the room as we had some food we needed to store, although they do provide ice so this is mostly just poor planning on our part. Otherwise, its a very lovely hotel in a nice area and some interesting history.

Room needed some TLC broken fridge door, unit hasn't been painted in forever and light fixtures attempt to be Victorian charm but just old and random. 1 of entrance doors wouldn't open. Furniture in poor condition, old and chipping. Extra blankets were from the 1970s. Stay included breakfast, but barely-always out of bagels, no butter available-offer a parfait, but there was a long hair in the cup. No room service at all one of the days. Some bath towels were so overused they were no longer white, but gray. Pros-good location-outside courtyard was pleasant, ice machine was great for day trips. Desk folks were nice. Room was spacious.
