This was our first visit to the Bahamas. Atlantis is a beautiful and huge property with a lot of activities, BUT, we will not go back for a few reasons. First, the day we arrived there were only a couple places to get a late lunch. Out of all the restaurants that are advertised, we only found two that were open. It is "slow season" so many places were closed for a week or longer accordingly to signs on their doors. The food we did find was just ok, but the prices are outrageous. $100+ for 2 adults and a child to eat a light lunch! Next, the kids club...they charge $93 per child for 3 hours and it is only open on certain days for "sessions"that need to be scheduled. We have been to many hotels & resorts with kids clubs abd I have never seen prices or inconvenient schedules like that. The water park is very nice, but again there were things closed for unknown reasons. The Spa was also closed for renovations until 2026. Our last night we tried an Italian restaurant. Our bill was over $150. No alcohol, no appetizers, only one salad, one pasta, and a kids pasta and the food was nothing special. I know many people that love Atlantis and it is an impressive property, but definitely do not think it is worth the prices they charge.

The housekeeping staff were very kind and nice. But every day our trip something else broke in our suite from the shower three times toilet paper thing came off the wall they missed the blanket. The spout in the other bathroom didn’t work. This goes on. Then there’s the closures ahead of time to make sure that certain things were up and running you promised that they would be will show up and things like the abyss with the hidden key scene note were closed amongst many other things. This place was on our bucket list, there are a lot of things that did not give up to the research that we did for the money that we paid.

The hotel is great, many activities to do. Definitely, the food and drinks are expensive but expected. However, the staff not all are friendly. They look like they don’t want to be there, definitely not the friendliest. Some ,I found not approachable when asked a question. It’s sad because gratuity is included/mandatory and some is not deserved .The hotel, food , amenities are all amazing. Definitely, if traveling with children there are things to do as well.
