Braun Rio might be just what you're looking for when planning your next vacation getaway in the Hill Country. This home is uniquely nestled on peaceful Guadalupe riverfront, in a park-like setting. Instead of neighbors on the other side of the river, you'll find only lush trees and a peaceful setting. The home is also tucked neatly away from any main roads, so distractions and traffic noise are a non-issue. Kick up your feet and enjoy one of two deck areas overlooking the river, or make your way down to the riverfront patio, where you'll find easy water access, additional seating, and an available charcoal grill to cook up a memorable vacation meal.

Inside, you'll find two bedrooms and the equipped kitchen, dining, and living areas on the lower floor. The master bedroom hosts a comfy king size bed and attached bath with walk-in shower and large, separate bathtub. In the second bedroom, you'll find a king size bed, and an additional full bathroom. The upstairs loft is perfect for the kids, with its own television, board games, and two futon beds (linens and pillows are provided).

Very well maintained, clean and quiet place. The river access and balconies overlooking were Esquisite. The nature sounds and nightly fire flies in the peaceful setting was more than one could hope for. A wonderful family friendly river house.

came down with the wife, mother-in-law and 5 kids ranging from 1 year - 14 years old. we were in town for the wilder blue concert and decided to stay a couple extra days, it was amazing.

Everything was perfect!

The property was wonderful. Very private. Right on the river. Perfect. 
. We put our kayaks into the River in our backyard (near 4th Crossing) and floated down to the 1st Crossing. Amazing location. Came home and grilled.

Relaxing stay!

Our stay was very relaxing and quiet- which is just what we we wanted. We spent a lot of time on back porch and terrace and enjoyed a campfire on the river’s edge every night! The beds were super comfortable!

Awesome spot on the river

Great house right on the Guadalupe. The upstairs room was perfect for our boys and the downstairs bedrooms were great for our daughter and us. The house was clean and well maintained. We spent the entire time outside by and near the river. Just a nice quiet vacation!

Serenity Plus Location Your Comments Braun Rio is a wonderfully peaceful Braun Rio was a wonderful place to spend a few days. Just sitting on the deck outside listening to the gurgling of the river stream by and the goats bleating from a nearby farm is enough! But, there are many amazing restaurants to try and towns to visit. The house is well equipped with everything needed to cook meals. The beds are comfortable and bathrooms conveniently located. Our stay was perfect in every way!

Great Location


We were very excited to stay here because my husband’s uncle built this house so he wanted to see if it had changed much! It’s a great home, but definitely needs some TLC
 the main issue was the AC! It froze up multiple times and it seemed to be after we would cook! There’s no vent over the island & so it would get HOT when you cooked in the kitchen! Then there’s something hanging from the vent in the loft to catch either water or dust coming out of the vent. The other issue was the chairs on the deck, the wood & split. It looked like someone tried gluing it back together but it didn’t hold! Overall, the house is great, but with Texas heat, the AC could definitely use some attention!

Very relaxing!

We sat in our lawn chairs in the river under shade trees and watched tubers go by. We tubed ourselves at a nearby rental place. Convenient to Wimberly to dine and shop. We went to nearby Canyon lake one day. The home has great kitchen and comfortable beds. We will be back!

Beautiful property, pictures do not do justice.

This is a beautiful property. Pictures can’t capture the beauty of this beautiful place. The river is very accessible and the house itself was very comfortable. Definitely recommend.

We had an amazing girls trip at Braun Rio. The house was clean and as advertised. The kitchen was stocked with necessities and linens were clean. We had plenty of room for our group of 8. Access to the river was easy but the water was very shallow. We will 100% be staying at this property again!!!!

A few glitches

Great location. Wifi never worked. No batteries in den tv remote. No tv remote for one of the bedrooms. Air conditioner kept going way up during the night. A rubber made container was hanging from the ceiling held up by a wire to catch water coming from air conditioner vent. If you sleep in the loft, just know you can't wait until the last minute to go potty. It is downstairs in the corner farthest away from the loft. Other than that it was great.

Nice getaway in the river

Super quiet part of the river and a really beautiful house and location. Yes, the water level right outside the house is low but that’s a good thing. You can stick your chairs in the water and chill. Get your tubes out and walk downstream about 20 yards and then you can tube. We had our own tubes, and tubed down to the Little Ponderosa Tube place and paid $6 each for an access fee and got shuttled back to the house. Super easy. It’s pretty common to see deer, herons, ducks, and more. Well stocked kitchen. Good showers.

Beautiful Home on the river

We had such a great time in this beautiful, relaxing home on the river! Perfect close proximity to the Whitewater Amphitheater. I only wish we could have stayed longer!!
