If you just need a place to stay for one night this if fine. I’m not sure why but I didn’t feel comfortable here for a long term stay. Place is outdated but it’s the cheapest for the area. Close car ride to Williamsburg restaurants and attractions. Not the greatest for walking back to at night, but you can always Uber. Parking was easy to find on random side streets a few blocks away, just pay attention to alternate side street parking. The balcony is funny, you walk outside to stare at the wall of another building. Staff was friendly, our toilet was broken and they came up right away to try and help. Bed was big. Heat definitely worked great for the winter time.

The first and most important consideration is that the above ground metro train is 30 yards from your windows, if you face the Main Street there. The hotel is not in a good area; not for crime, for some Brooklyn area that you would like to come home to. It's just the wrong street, too close to the train, and other more minor stuff like no shower curtain (water sprays all over). I wish I had read a review like mine before booking.

They kept calling me while I was working to ask when I’d be checking in and I told them 5 or 6 (2-3 hours after official check-in time). When I got there at 5 they said there had been an emergency preventing me from getting into my room but I could downgrade from a king to a twin bed if I wanted to get in right away. But there would be no price adjustment. I pressed them on it and sure enough, a room with a king bed magically appeared.

This hotel was very nice and the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the balcony was nice, though it would benefit from a bench or chairs and a small table. The one problem I had was that the kitchen isn’t a kitchen, it’s a kitchenette with a small microwave, a mini fridge and small sink. There are no plates, glasses or silverware, so it really couldn’t function as anything more than a place to store and reheat leftovers. The location was good for me, because it was close to the people I was visiting, but it isn’t ideal if you want to stroll, shop and eat.
