Shuttle did not show up, trying to get staff to try to get me was impossible to talk to. Waited a hour then had to pay a Uber to get me to a hotel. The hotel was nothing like the picture. I have stayed at this one before at other places and where way better.

I had called the hotel after I booked the room and informed them my flight wasn’t getting in until 1am. On the day of my arrival, before boarding my connecting flight, I saw the hotel already charged me for my room which I anticipated with it being a late flight. Once we arrived in Newark I called the hotel to ask them to send a shuttle. The lady who answered informed me there was no one else checking in that night. I gave her my confirmation code and she said my room had been given to someone else and there were no rooms available. I told her I had told someone a month ago we had a late flight. She said she didn’t know who I talked to but it wasn’t her so she said, “not my problem.” By this time it was 2:00am, we had a five year old with us and we were now stranded. I told her I was charged and the app was still showing my reservation. She said, “I just came on at 11 so again not my problem”. She finally informed me she refunded my money but I would have to figure out another place to stay because there were no rooms so she wasn’t sending the shuttle. I looked at the app and my confirmation at this point and it now said “late cancellation.” Which I did not cancel! They did. So we were stranded at the Newark airport with everything around booked and the hotel did not care or even try to apologize. I would NOT recommend this customer service or hotel. We finally found a place, 20 miles away after 3:00am with a 5 year old in tow.
