Our experience was semi disappointing. Unfortunately, we feel that we were taken advantage of money wise as the home did not appear to be ready for any guests.There were numerous issues throughout our stay, including:âąBurn marks on many surfacesâąALOT of damaged or incomplete furnitureâąA strong smell of marijuana throughout the houseâąDirty floors, mirrors with visible residue, food stuck on walls, and holes in the walls âąMultiple TVs not functioningâąA broken freezer handleâąMissing/damaged blindsâąSignificant water damage âąA dryer vent that was not properly connected, which was pushing carbon monoxide into the upstairs âą No working air upstairs the whole week, resulting in us having to go buy multiple box fans to stay comfortableâąThe pool heat did not work for three days, and by the end of our stay the pool had developed an insane amount of algaeWhile the host seemed very kind and responsive, the overall condition of the home fell far below expectations. The listing pictures made it seem a lot nicer. I feel that normal wear and tear is expected in a rental home, but these issues went far beyond that. I think the property has a lot of potential. The location was great. I just think the host needs to ensure that the housekeeping staff is actually doing their duties, and it needs significant upkeep and maintenance to make the home rental worthy.
