We had to wait 45 minutes after checking in for a room (which was after 3pm). Then we went up and tried several times to open our room but the key didn’t work. After a few minutes someone opened the door to the room the front desk had written on our card and said they already had the room. I had to go back downstairs to the desk. They showed the room was empty and so the employee went up to the room personally to find it occupied. So needless to say it was a hectic first hour. Everything else was great.

The staff were amazing. Very helpful and listened to the concerns and issues I ran across. The hotel itself may need to have an inspection because it is something that is way out of the hands of the staff and management. I was moved to another room due to lack of sleep because of a constant clicking/dripping sound that took place around 4am-6am. The new room I was moved to the bathroom smelled like raw sewage and there was a howling sound with something banging and making a screeching noise between 4am and 5am. There are some definite maintenance issues this hotel needs to address immediately on the 2nd floor. Rooms 230 and 228 need to be heavily inspected and checked out before another guest has the unfortunate pick of these 2 rooms. The hotel it self was nice, clean and the staff were very nice and greeted you every time. It was unfortunate my stay during the night was uncomfortable and inconvenient.

Given that there isn’t enough room to type my whole issue. Website falsely advised what the rooms had. I booked a bedroom suite and had no hot water to shower for two days and the staff only offered me and family extra points. I have very young kids and I am not sure why they thought it was okay to shower in cold water. There was no sense of urgency to get the problem resolved. Since they were sold out all weekend they put us in a smaller room since they couldn’t get hot water. When we spoke to the agents inside the hotel it seem they were very unsure on what to do and kept giving us the run around. At the end of our stay they stated they compensated us for one day and waived parking for one day. Come to find out they didn’t, since I booked through a third party app they are telling me they received none of the information that I was provided. Sad to say but this was overall the worst experience, I travel over 5 hours to be in this city and I always stay at a Courtyard by Marriott and I never have issues with my stay or the staff. I felt this issue was handled very poorly. Not having hot or warm water and being told all other rooms have it, then being told because they have had several sports teams on site is causing for our room to not have proper running water. How does that happen? All 300 plus rooms have water but our one room doesn’t.. very ghetto!
