Perfect location in walking distance to Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39. We rented scooters from the hotel rack across the street and rode around the area and to Ghirardelli Square. Felt like a nice safe area. Parking was easy and they allowed us in/out several times. The room was very comfortable with one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. The property was nice. Continental breakfast was adequate but nothing too special. Would absolutely stay here again.

Staff were welcoming and efficient. The room itself was to a good standard with a clean and comfy bed. The view was the worst though, just facing other rooms windows and a brick wall. Plumbing was not the best. The area itself is not the best choice, I’ ve since been told the area had gone a bit downhill and there were plenty of homeless and drunks out and about on the evening, not the hotels fault of course.

Watch for hidden fees, you have to pay to park there (it most definitely does not come with the hotel) 1 am smoke alarm and evacuation- exit signs everywhere but very confusing when trying to get out of the building.

Breakfast was always limited and ran out quickly. The front desk staff was not knowledgeable. They did not provide a bill and when I asked if anything would be charged by the end of my stay, they stated that the extra charge would be returned. When I come home I find a fee of $30 per day was charged to by credit card. I recommend Holiday Inn to use a form like other hotels when guests check in to explain the extra fees.

5/27 at 1am , the fire alarm triggered. The supervisor must atleast give an update or redirect guests ,instead of leaving everyone cluelessly self evacuating ,especially seing guest with seniors and children.

Good location, clean hotel, friendly staff. The fire alarm did go off and we were all evacuated at like 5:30am-firefighters came and apparently it was a false alarm. That wasn’t great, but also not the fault of the hotel.
