Our home is the lower level and basement (4br/2ba) of a duplex so there is a separate unit above this with long-term tenants. You will have the main level which has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen. Connecting through a set of stairs you will also have the basement level which features 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, laundry room, and a kitchenette (no stove or sink, but we do have a coffee maker, hot plate, silverware, glassware, and a mini-fridge).

Please note: this listing is for a ground floor unit with 2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom & a connected basement unit with 2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom. The basement doesnât have AC units, but stays pretty cool in the summer with multiple fans, air purifiers, and a dehumidifier! The ground floor has portable air conditioning units and extra fans.
Please note: especially in the summer with a portable AC unit running in the living room, the kitchen electrical circuit can get overloaded, causing it to trip the breaker. Let us know if this happens and we can walk you through how to reset it.

99% of guests are visiting family, friends, on a work trip, or just exploring town. For anyone who intends to have a party, disturb the neighborhood, or in any other way violate our house rules, we want to make clear that:
We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us.
We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule.

We share our driveway with our upstairs neighbors, but our side fits up to two cars in tandem. Please note thereâs no street parking on our street. If you need more parking space, there is extra free street parking available on a nearby street, which is only a few steps away!

The unit is fully accessible via a YALE smart lock at the front and side doors. To enter, press âYALE,â enter the code we provide in your reservation check-in instructions, and press the CHECK to unlock.
When leaving, hold the YALE logo for a few seconds and the deadbolt will close. The locks will auto-lock after one minute if you forget to lock.

Pullout Couch: Underneath the horizontal seat you will find two fabric handles. Pull them out from under the couch and raise up the extra mattress section from underneath the couch. Remove the couch pillows to make space for two!
Extra Linens: Underneath the chaise section of the couch you will find four bath towels and four hand towels, four pillows, a comforter, and extra sets of sheets and pillowcases for the couch and air mattress.

We love hosting folks, so we want to be as respectful as possible to our wonderful neighbors. Since weâre in a quiet neighborhood, we do ask that you follow a few easy rules:
- No parties & no overnight guests without prior approval. If youâre looking to host a small gathering, thatâs probably ok but please let us know.
- Respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm.
- Please leave your shoes at the door.
- No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies.
- No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky.
- If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair.
- Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help.
